There incredibly isn't a video of The Christians' amazing 1992 song Still Small Voice on You Tube. Perhaps because it wasn't released, incredibly as a single. It is the final song off the band's third album Happy in Hell. So good it deserves a SiX DwArF treatment for those like me who think this is a cardinal sin that there is no visuals.
You can draw comparisons to a perhaps more politically-charged Temptations.
Contrary to some belief, The Christians are not religious zealots. They are a pop-soul musical ensemble from Liverpool, England, who had several UK and international chart hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
The name of the band refers to the surname of the three brothers that were originally in the line-up, and is also coincidentally guitarist Henry Priestman's middle name.
Their self-titled debut album was one of the biggest sellers of 1987 helped with a string of corking hit singles. It entered the UK Albums Chart at number 2 and eventually sold over a million copies.
Garry Christian, the lead singer is still touring the Christians' back catalogue.
