ABOUT THE CHOSEN
The Chosen is an American Christian historical drama television series. Created, directed, and co-written by filmmaker Dallas Jenkins, it is the first multi-season series about the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth. Primarily set in Judaea and Galilee in the 1st century, the series centers on Jesus and the different people who met and followed or otherwise interacted with him. The series stars Jonathan Roumie as Jesus, alongside Shahar Isaac, Elizabeth Tabish, Paras Patel, Noah James, and George H. Xanthis.
After Jenkins noted there had never been a multi-season, episode-based portrayal of Jesus that could be "binge-watched" like shows on streaming mediums such as Netflix, he set out to create the series in partnership with Angel Studios, formerly VidAngel. With the intention of differing from previous portrayals of Jesus, he crafted a story arc which focused more on the people who encountered Jesus and viewed him through their eyes. He has stated in interviews that he sought to present Jesus in a way that was more "personal, intimate, [and] immediate"
The show's producers have primarily used crowdfunding on the Angel Studios platform to finance production, and it continues to be the most successful crowdfunded TV series or film project. Additional revenue comes through licensing to other streaming platforms and TV networks, such as Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, and Netflix. Merchandise and video sales provide additional sources of revenue, as have limited premiere runs in cinemas. The show has been further adapted into a series of novels by Jenkins's father, author Jerry B. Jenkins, a series of graphic novels by Corvus Comics, and companion Bible study materials published by David C. Cook.
According to a 2022 analysis commissioned by the show's producers, 108 million had seen at least part of the show through the app and streaming platforms. Translation into as many as 600 languages is being funded by the Come and See Foundation.

Big fan. Haven't watched season 4 yet. Got tickets for Glasgow cinema then couldn't go. Favourite Jesus moment is The Beatitudes ❤. It crushes me. Favourite Andrew, Dramatic scene is him standing on the boat while Jesus is being arrested. Favourite little James scene is when he heals someone then cries. Big James lifts him up. Love it. I have not seen season 4 at theaters due to health issues. Since I couldn't go I was wanting to see The Choosen so last Thursday I started watching it from the first episode until I finished the last episode this morning at 5am. I have trouble sleeping so I watched The Choosen. I couldn't stop watching it. I got such a blessing. I can't wait until I do get to see it when it comes on the app. Love The Choosen. Great acting. I can't say what my favorite is. So much good acting. I have come closer to God because of this show. God bless all the crew and actors.

@@2012escapee1 Yeah.😁😁 Classic. Too many Andrew moments. When he gives Simo a cup of water to take to Philip. "Make Nice" . 🤣🤣🤣🤣 And when Phortina says. Jesus isn't afraid of ghosts and Andrew whispers "I might be". Andrew is so adorable.

Jonathan’s portrayal of Jesus is impossible to explain- so good.
Lovely interview with Jonathan, I love his portrayal of Jesus. Nice to see photo of his parents as I thought we’d never see something personal. I’m Irish so delighted to see his Irish mum and Egyptian dad.❤️

I’m an ex Catholic..now Born Again Christian. But, I thank my mother for my start of my love for Jesus, my Savior, Lord and God. Now, I’m only a disciple of God, sharing Hid Word and truth..planning seeds and …letting God water their souls and do His Will. I know many have said that we should be careful with watching the Chosen or advising not to watch at all. Well, if, I had to watch ANY movie, series or video..I would hands down would choose the Chosen! But, I as now a student of the Word of God , book by book verse by verse..the Chosen has been blessing to see the Bible come to life. I KNOW ITS JUST A SHOW..as Dallas has always reminded us to do…it was NEVER MEANT TO REPLACE THE WORD OF GOD. I love listening, watching the folks playing the characters and members of the Chosen share their stories. Thank you for your channel, dear friend! 🙏
I love The Chosen 💓 Thank you for sharing these interviews 🙏 the first time I watched The Passion of the Christ I was so moved because it made Christ very real and tangible not just words written on a page! The Chosen is doing the same thing for me 💕 I am an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I feel my testimony of Christ has been strengthend as I watched the story of the Savior and his deciples! I saw Season 4 of the Chosen 7 and 8 it was on Thursday March the 7th.It was great.I am a Fan of the Chosen and l am looking forward to see Season 5 6 and 7.God Bless you Johnathan,l love the role u play the role u play of Jesus,l love u Johnatha ❤️.

Jonathan spoke of "Not thinking about the entire scope of the project, or his head would explode". But Dallas certainly has thought of the "big picture". His vision has truly been inspired. It is carefully crafted and it is brilliant!
