The Cholesterol Wars: The Critical Importance of Lowering LDL-C in High-Risk Patients

Statin therapy is the recommended treatment for lowering low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) and reducing atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease (ASCVD) risk. However, evidence-based and guideline-recommended therapies, including ezetimibe and PCSK9 inhibitors, continue to be underutilized, even among the highest risk patients. Consequently, an unmitigated burden of cardiovascular risk persists. More education is urgently needed to address this problem. To that end, NATF invites you to join us for a virtual series of webinars that discuss some of these key issues in cholesterol management.

check out keto lifestyle also lean mass hyper responders and see Dr Paul Mason - Low Carb Down Under 3 part series on statins and LDL - Those with low LDL have higher mortality than those with elevated LDL - Also if your a carb addict following the Standard American (Australian ) Diet, get your fasting insulin tested and also check your Insulin Resistance IR = Trigs/HDL ratio in mg/dl it should be below 1.9 and ideally below 1 see Dr Sten Ekberg - How Long Does It Take To Reverse Insulin Resistance? plus some others on IR - info only, but a keto PHD lifestyle will help - I am 73 - 20 months Keto - weight loss 37kgs - IR was 3.8 now 2.0 - Daily Insulin 140 now 7 units a day - HDL was 0.9 (35) now 1.4 (54) - trigs 3.1 (275) now 1.2 (106) - HBA1C was 8.5 now 5.6 - do some research you are being lied to big time to protect big food and big pharma - lots of vlogs but you tube promoting plant based lies over the keto proper human diet by demonitising or putting them lower in the search algorythmn

Lowering LDL has been the Medical Community’s strategy for decades And Heart Disease is still the number 1 killer We need a new strategy….perhaps eating real food, no seed oils, no ultra processed foods, low sugar….and stop demonizing saturated fats!
