What the little boy did was terrible but what the mother did was worse. While she was making fire the little boy was right beside her playing with the sticks and soot and she never corrected him. I think he thought he was helping. After he set his fire, she kicked him out of the house. How old is he 3? What does she think he will do? Get a job? Make a hut down by the river? She is as bad as the parents who originally abandoned him. If she no longer wants him in her home, then she needs to take him to the proper authorities who can care for him properly. Children are not disposable! Shame on her and the filmakers for putting small children in these ridiculous situations.
