Some of these younger people these days do not have any clue about cleaning something. I dont get it. I have lived in some pretty rough places and managed to be clean. I would wont to try to restore this mobile home though. It may be worth it for the rent you can get I guess but overwhelming amount of work, just to have someone move in and trash it all up again.

There are no excuses ever. These people were just careless and lazy. Everyone can get busy with soap and water no matter what else is happening. This needs to have all the stuff inside thrown into a dumpster to even know what other problems may exist.

Some of these folks have to work multiple jobs; with commute times, they may be working 14-18 hours a day seven days a week, just to keep the lights on and food on the table and pay for daycare. Exhaustion sets in, the cleaning gets left undone, pretty soon it's such a mess they're overwhelmed. It's sad.

Theory is good but sometimes people are working two jobs, taking care of elderly parents and facing illness and or depression. A person tries to live cleanly but is just hanging on by a thread. It’s important to try to walk in someone else’s shoes before we judge. I would guess vandals played a part in this too.

More likely alcohol and/or drug addiction is responsible, not laziness. Addicts go broke trying to support their habits, turning to prostitution and other illicit ways to get their fixes. When high, which is pretty much all of the time, they could care less about the physical space around them. I wouldn't be surprised if this was the home of a single mom hooked on hard drugs and her young baby. The woman may have died of an overdose or was arrested and taken to jail, and perhaps a relative took custody of the child or the child became a ward of the court. Without intervention and a return to sobriety, addicts end up dead or insane. It is an ugly, ugly disease.

It sat on a semi wooded lot for 4 years and when I opened some water damage early in the morning, rats stampeded out of the a/c vents by the hundreds. Every bit of furniture was busting with nests and every hollow place was to capacity with droppings.I lived in a tent inside the trailer to keep from breathing the stench. It is amazing what a human can learn to tolerate when there is. No place else to go. Working on a trailer isnt horribly difficult. And I'm making progress in a lot of ways. I keep praying that I find a newer one that doesent need everything gutted top to bottom and doesnt smell like ten years of puking screwing birthing dying rodents.

You’ll need to update the outside in order to get a quality renter who will want to live here, be willing to pay a decent rent and will be a quality person who will keep it neat and clean. Go with a simple, clean exterior (paint) that will set the tone and coordinate with the clean, uncluttered interior . Use potted “landscape-type” evergreens, update the storage shed’s appearance (properly repair the door!) and make it clean, modern and simple! There’s possibilities but keep it simple and uncluttered!
