It's another round of "Does This Really Work?" Today we're putting the cheapest heat gun we could find up against a more advanced heat gun that we use all the time. Will it be as good? Can you use it in place of the more expensive ones?

I bought my heat gun from Harbor Freight for $9.99 a coupleof years ago. It is Red and Black, can't remember the brand. It works perfectly. We use it every week at work. Amazing!

Have a heat gun with the variable heat settings (0-10) which I've used for years. I use it primarily for heat shrink products but have used it for other applications.

They do come in handy!
Just returned this exact 1500W Warrior model yesterday. Purchased Jan 2, 2024 failed Jan 26, 2024.The cord came loose internally at the heat gun connection. Being somewhat stubborn, found that the unit would run when wiggled. So, after a few wiggle restarts.... the cord connection sparked and singed my thumb and forefinger. Ooow. No UL tested marking on the packaging.
