I obviously underestimated you as an interviewer. I typed my prior comment before you asked the question I wanted to hear answered (I am a former catcher…just a year younger Than Tim MacCarver) YOU ASKED IT PERFECTLY! Thank you, so much! :)😊

I really enjoyed what Supan did in that World Series run. I live not far from where he started a restaurant that bore his baseball name, Sup’s, which I thought had closed because I put in the wrong name. I could have gottent there from just 20 miles or so (Pepperdine, lived on campus for awhile). So, I am glad to actually get to see the guy as a guy on your show. Sup! We St. Louis fans have never forgotten, whether we live in St. Louis (area) or in So Cal or anyplace else. The great thing about St. Louis is that you will always be cheered at St.Louis! Only a player that dogged it and got traded or eventually cut ever gets the cold shoulder. I wish you would have asked him (perhaps off screen, just to get some inside reality) what Dave Duncan meant to that team. Did he deserve the reputation? Was he a key? Was Yadi a key?

Game 7 in Shea is now dubbed the Suppan-Molina affair. Those two locked it down.
