I recently found your channel and I am Dutch. Seeing you celebrating King's day like this is AMAZING!! For the first time we are not able to celebrate it and had to stay indoors. This today cheered me up a lot! Thank you so much!! I'm loving your channel even more now!!!

I sometimes forget that these are "real" people and not characters in a tv show. I have gotten quite attached to the "characters". Found myself saying that "This is a Selmar episode" and being quite happy. Looking forward to the next "Michael Petherick episode".

My darling father was honoured to be presented to King Willem and Queen Maxine in Australia a year before he passed. It was a highlight for a Dutch man who migrated to Australia in the 50’s. Happy Kings Day. I loved seeing the Dutch cooking. All the orange colours. I hope my Dutch relatives are safe and well.

I love Selmar! What a great help he is. You all are lucky to have him. I’m Dutch too, BTW. 😊. Baker Creek seeds are famous in the US for supplying heirloom vegetable seeds. Very crucial to preserve these varieties, or they’ll be gone forever!! Wonderful selection.

Selmar Duin My parents are Dutch citizens who emigrated to America in the 60’s. I was born in the US. We speak Dutch (me like a 5 year old) and I have many family members who still live there.

LaLande is truly a magical place to bring such lovely people together there! I second making Selmar a permanent member of the crew! I just love everything about LaLande, from the peacocks who poop on cars to the unfinished attics and your dear family/friends!

The seeds are from Mansfield, MO! I grew up about 30 mins from there. Incidentally, that’s also where Laura Ingalls Wilder lived when she wrote the “Little House on the Prairie” books. Her house/farm is now a charming museum you can visit.

Yay Holland! My mother’s side of the family can trace our heritage to Holland back to the 1600’s. Selmar is so sweet! What a great addition to Lalande. Stephanie, you have the sweetest mother! I love how excited she gets about seeds and plants! Give her a hug from me. I love your channel. You seem happy all the time and it is infectious.

Well this is so interesting. You are making dutch food and Michael Petherick is making rose cake. Your both trying to do something new! How funny is that timing?? I think you should keep on having Kings night as its such good fun. Its a good excuse for a party, not that you need one. Selmar has really been a great help to all of you. I think we all need a Selmar in our lives. He just seems like such a strong, dependable person, no dramas. And Diesel is just like him!!

What a fun, fun day you all had. The seeds are from a small town in Missouri. (middle of the U.S.) I am sure they will be wonderful Heriloom veggies. So happy to see Scott Man!! I thought you would be done with therapy by now. We have been working every day in our clinic. Maybe some clinics closed down due to the Corona Virus....Selmar I wish I could have met you in Amsterdam. You always seem to just make the most of everything. I love that town.

Selmar is a legend. At the rate he's been going so far I have every faith that he'll have the chateau fully renovated, the mill rebuilt (including the two towers), and the chapel restored by the time May is out 😄 He might even have a secret off-grid hide-away built for himself in the woods too!! Great to see Gerry again, I'm delighted to hear that his treatment has gotten the go ahead. I am a little worried by his lack of tartan though. Perhaps, like all great Superheroes he has his alter ego like Peter Parker/Spiderman. Without tartan he is Gerry and with tartan he is the one and only SCOTMAN 😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Thank you again Stephanie & Co. for the wonderful vlogs.
