If £3,000-£5,000 is scored in the cash builder, the low offer is supposed to be £1,000. £6,000-£8,000 = £2,000 for the low offer, £9,000 = £3,000 for the low offer and so on.

Here’s some interesting trivia! By airing order, every chaser won their first final chase. But in reality, only Shaun and Darragh actually won the first final chase they recorded. Each chaser’s first recorded show was: *Mark:* Series 1 Episode 6 (19/20; £12,000) *Shaun:* Series 1 Episode 2 _(presumably)_ (20/20; 0​:02) *Anne:* Series 2 Episode 10 (17/21; £18,400) *Paul:* Series 4 Episode 35 (18/26; £24,000) *Jenny:* Series 9 Episode 54 (16/17; £12,000) *Darragh:* Series 13 Episode 183 (16/16; 0​:07) _(only time a chaser’s first aired show is also their first taped)_

Really? I know that their first taped show isn’t necessary their first aired (Anne mentioned in an interview that she done a bunch of rehearsal episodes before the one aired) but I didn’t know that S1 E6 was recorded before S1 E1. Where did you come across this?

When did the who is the chaser on the board start I think it was series 2 if so did the jokes start then as well

Fun fact: in series 1 contestants needed 6 correct answers to bank their Cash Builder Money, while the Chaser remained 3 behind. This was changed in series 2 to 5 correct answers, which is the standard for all international versions of the show. Also, the sound when both players lock in sound different (player's is shorter, Chaser's is different altogether)

This Series 1 win music would later make a resurgence in the *The Chase: Ultimate Edition* app. (Why they chose this variant for it I will never know.) It has also been used as a regular win music in Germany (all seasons since 2012) and Finland (S1 & S2 only).

Yeah I always noticed it in the Ultimate Edition app but what I found interesting is that the older Chase app uses the newer music but the newer app uses the older music. Quite ironic.

The H2H were so much more entertaining in this era; snappy, concise and gripping. The suspense has been removed by all the chit-chat between questions and it becomes a real bore to watch

Yeah it’s much more relaxed now; much less tension. Also, I noticed that contestants had to answer 6 questions to get home, whereas now it’s 5. Guess they felt the H2H’s lasted too long?
