The Charleston - Now and Then - QRS Q133 played by the composer James P Johnson
I keep finding SD cards with videos on them. This was recorded on August 14th 2016. You can see I had the front on my piano at the time, and the keyboard looks presentable. I bought this roll brand new from QRS. All the stains, rips, and imperfections are from me. Even the moth that met its demise is from me. And it's still there, 7 years later. I almost used the original copy of this roll, but I like to recreate these now and then videos as close to original as I can. Maybe someday I'll put the front back on the piano. I hope you enjoy this well-known song.

Fun fact this music was in a roblox roleplay game called After The Flash: Mirage. Or ATF 7 the game used to be popular but another one called After The Flash: Wintertide released aka ATF 8 ATF 7 was slowly dying like the previous ATF roblox games. The original song had trumpets and trombones. Which the game is supposed to be a wasteland after a nuclear explosion. And there is old 1940s music and 1930s music.
I was just wondering if you had this roll. This is my favorite version of Charleston, partially because of the version itself and also partially because it’s the first one I heard. Great to find :)

I've got the original copy too. I'll be posting it soon. The leader was destroyed when I got it. But otherwise it's great! Glad you like it
It does sound very delightful, and that Player Piano still sounds like it's in tip-top shape (😅), being able to play the rolls in a 'coherent' manner. However, you said you had a lot of these SD cards, so then how long have you been recording? since you grew interested in the you player piano? would love to know

As a little boy around 4 yrs old he would stand next to his Great Grandma and listen to her play by ear! I think his love affair started then!

I've found 3 SD cards and a USB drive. Whenever smartphones became popular. I should say where I finally decided to get one. The oldest videos I have are from 2013. I'm saving those for a few months. It's not quite 10 years yet. lol. I do have some recordings on cassette tapes. Just audio. But it's of another piano.
