wow......this is huge even though it looks minor......this really matters because apart from just inabilty to assimilate vitamins and minerals in diet there is a direct correlation between dental issues with general inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, coronary heart disease and even muscular inflammatory conditions .........This actually saved the career of a famous footballer( seedorf: when he was at inter milan he was injury prone. so they sold him to Ac milan. while they were doing his medicals they found out that he had a tooth decay and that was actually what was causing his injury crisis, so they did a tooth extraction and the rest that say is history). i am really impressed with Flicks approach and already excited for the new season to come.

Dental test doesn't make any sense to me except for digestion yes it makes more sense but has to be taken care of doctors not dental people it should be taken care of doctors that isn't causing the injuires its becuase players gets pushed way to hard and plays menaingless international matches when its not necassary to play in thats why they get injuirs dental test won't improve injuired players they have gone trought their diets before and they eat what they supposed to eat so its not main problem here its injuires that surgury can fix nothing else.

Clearance Seadorf is a very good case study of a player that had injury issues due to his dental problems.

@@crazechill1 It's not pseudo science at all. Oral health has an impact on the whole body and mind. Starting with chewing food, proper digestion and nutrient absorption. Bad teeth can spread infection to the whole head; sinuses, tongue, jawbone, ears, nose, throat, eyes, brain.. Infections can spread into bloodstream and affect the rest of the body. Inflammation and itchy gums can cause sleepless nights, irritation, headaches and mood disorders. Tooth pain can completely mess you up mentally. Also it affects the confidence and energy, with better teeth you are simply more confident, healthier and more energetic. Teeth are so important for overall well-being. I failed my driver's license because i had a problem with one single tooth which caused pain to my eye. Yes, teeth affect the eyesight too, when the inflammation spreads from tooth to sinuses to cheeckbone under the eye. Not to mention i wasn't in the mood to study for driving because i was having headaches and eye pain every day. I know a man who has problems with his knees and he can barely walk because the infection from his teeth has spread into the bloodstream and ruined his bones. Also the constant inflammation causes mayhem to your hormonal and chemical balance, which affects testosterone and cortisol. Take care of your teeth and gums.

I can relate with the dental test relating to injury. Seedorf was always having injuries when he moved from the blue side of Milan to the red side. Once his wisdom tooth was removed his injury problems stopped and he went in to win trophies with them. Hansi sure has an idea of what's up.😊

Dental test are super smart I thought we already did this. Clarence Seedorf had a few years of groin pain that most teams weren't able to fix until they pulled one of his wisdom teeth; from then on he was fairly injury free.

Now I’m sure they probably already do this but if not I’d say the club should do some research on other clubs with few injuries and if possible see how they keep their players healthy.

I have listened to clearance seadorf say the reason he had constant injury was due to his dental formula and that it was only after the issue was resolved that his kneel problem was over

Several doctors in Japan did a research on the relationship between dental health and physical health. All came to the conclusion that they're related. Not sure that's the reason or influence, but both Japanese National coaches and head physicians demands from the players for their dental records. That include both men and women (Blue Samurai & Nadeshiko).

Hansi is right. It's been known that especially wisdom tooth contributes to muscle injuries. I'm not certain if it was Seedorf or another former Madrid player who had serious muscular issues, that mitigated injuries, and in Italy it was resolved by extracting his misaligned wisdom tooth.

Infections affect the whole body, dental problems affect muscles, just like a certain bacteria that causes sore throats can literally affect the brain and be fatal

I have played Football at some level but I am really shocked to know that a Big club like FC Barcelona didn't had Dental checkups. Dental checkups not only helps to determine the physical maturity of a player but also prevents the player from any other hindrance of a body part outside of Football to effect the player's performance. Also Many players might be having their wisdom Tooth grow which creates a huge pain and can surely keep the player out of the field.

I am a oral health therapist and i have 11 years experience in this field. What Flick has done is nothing new. Studies have shown that Oral Health is important and can effect other parts of the body. For example Oral Health in relation to Diabetes, Oral Health in relation to hypertension, kidney failure, cardiovascular disease. There are studies. So Flick is bringing some changes in to the medical part of Barca.

The “dental test” part is real, I learned about it in biology back in high school

our former coach said it so,if you train your muscles and your oral health is bad you often get headeaches or pressure on your teeth that hurt alot. Inigo Martinez is sure the one to look on cauze he has like veeeners or Implants and maybe they ain't good done like he wanted. They look good but he is still way more injury related player that he was so who knows
