I have a suicidal friend. I quoted "if we go down then we go down together" in a text, and he asked me if that was from a song. I showed him the song and we are now best friends, and anytime he feels like dying, he listens to this song and feels a lot better. The reason I quoted "if we go down then we go down together" is because its true. If he dies, I die. We are pretty much siblings from different families. So I wanted to let everyone know that this song has saved my friend's life. Thank you, Chainsmokers. You saved my best friend's life.

It's a personal style of nowadays EDM producers/singers. You can notice all songs of Marshmello, DJ Snake.... have the same familiar melody like theirs other song And I believe the melody in this song came from Setting Fire

This song made me a fan of the chainsmokers years ago, and it still calms me down and reduces my anxiety as it did back then. Love both their old and new songs too though ngl, this is something else.

I love this song so much. So much nostalgia and happiness. This song has always given me a feeling I truly can’t explain. This reminds me of a time where I was competing at a competition in my fresh man year of high school and I used to play this song on the way there .Memories :) :)

I would do anything to go back in time to when this song was first released. I was still riding the hype from Closer and was excited for The Chainsmokers next release. After listening once I initially was hesitant because it was a different style but it quickly grew on me and became one of my favorite songs. I was 21 back then and life was literally at an all time high. I was a junior in college, I was talking to the best girl in the world at the time (future gf), working at Olive Garden, and just living life. I felt so free and so able to do anything. I would do anything to go back.

I agree with you, friend. I, too, was a junior in college, starting undergrad research in my major, traveling the country for my studies, and had a hell of a girlfriend. I had no CDs or Bluetooth in my car so I would listen to the local radio station. Sure enough this song was almost always on. I can still think back to those days and feel the warm sun on my skin as I cruised around the little mountain town where my university was at. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of those memories again!

Because it's incredibly generic and boring. Expand your music preferences to artists before 2010 basically, and you'll understand. Try the 70's and 80's. This is not even pretentious. Their whole catalog of songs are generic. This is fact.

Not really. Auto tune can only do so much for someone. Effects are cool to add to voices because they aren't produced naturally. Auto tune can't make someone sound better really
