I love how she’s struggling and he still (somehow) makes the situation about himself 🙄

Watching this and realizing how easy it was for her to forgive him just boggles my mind; the day he chose to believe someone over her then shame, degrade, humiliate and more in front of family/friends at their wedding would be impossible to trust or even be with him again. Plus, there is the treatment after the horrible "wedding"; every time he saw her he would continue such treatment until he started doubting then found out who was actually behind it. All in all, she could forgive him sure however to again be with such a man again and marry is just a disgusting relationship to me. I would prefer her with the suppose rival, the one she was working with after the break up cause he treated her with respect and care even when he knew the feelings he felt for her would not be returned he still treated her with respect. Anyone over the male lead would be a better fit or she could've had her very own happy ever after with no tie to a relationship and do what she said she was going to do with her mom instead of get back with him so darn easy.

I agreed with you, and to be honest, i was too rooting for the rival guy and the protagonist ended together; both shared a very bad experience with their former lovers and formed a very good relationship because of that, and even they are very good working together! To bad the writhers didnt have the guts to break the dramas mold with this story :/

I agree with you 100%. He would have been history forever. How can she ever speak to him again after he embarrassed her in front of all those people, and how he talked to her afterwards. She is too damn timid for me. Just let people walk all over her. She should have gotten over him, and found someone else. The rival would have treated her like a queen.

The thing that bothers me about Chinese and Korean series is that the pseudo hero treats the heroine like shit and towards the end she has Alzheimer's and forgives him. But question people where is the pride. In real life, are there really people like that?

Well in my opinion, they both don't deserve each other.. one is toxic as hell and the other one is just like a robot.. no expression.. just let others insult her anytime they want.. doesn't know how to stand up for herself.. their relationship is just toxic

Only someone desperate and pathetic with a low self esteem but they also couldn’t be sane either. The writers really insulted the viewers and the characters with such BS. It would take a thousand years of groveling and doing impossible tasks to get a second thought to consider forgiving. Since human beings don’t live that long (yet I guess)…

Dude if I was in this situation, I would be cautious being near him let alone the thought of dating him again.

She does reject him a couple of times after and makes him suffer, but eventually forgives him.

You don't have to suffer large set backs to be in love. I sort of dislike the themes of the C, Cinderella dramas. It circulates the idea that the female has to be humble, hurt, unsupported, and go thru trials and suffering to find happiness.

Well you do have to have set back to have empathy and compassion which has to be in place for true happiness. What you give comes back to you so supreme hapoiness comes from seeking happiness for others as well

@@22424 You don't need set backs to have empathy and compassion. Those are attributes already in a person. There are people who have had severe set backs but become bitter, hateful and full of self pitty. There are people who have had mostly love, positive and good things in their life and know how to show compassion and empathy. Negativity can't create positive. Good comes from good. You don't need bad things to happen to you to become a good person. You were a good person to begin with you are good despite the bad things not because of them. Also happiness is all around you you don't need to seek happiness or earn happiness it's within in you you just have to open your heart to eat and see the light and goodness in day to day life. It's a toxic mind set to think you need pain to find happiness. Pain is pain and happiness is happiness.

What is appalling to me is the very public way he humiliated her and the meetings thereafter when he truly shows disgust at the sight of her. It's fair to say that she bears some fault in this, but only because she did not expect to be betrayed by her aunt. All in all, even when he seems to be helping her, there's still doubt in his mind. It is also for their company's benefit that he is doing it. Gao Hui's failures in the company is causing them problems. If he truly valued her he should have investigated everything before shaming her in front of everyone. That is inexcusable.

He's in a way immature and naive. He believed and trusted everyone except her - because of her relationship with Mu Ziyun, his arch enemy and stepmother. There are things in a family that one do not want to be made public. The Yu family has some too. He should be more broad-minded....not only where she's concerned but of other things too like letting go of the past and moving on...

her forgiving him so easily, he doesn't deserve her and her forgiveness, she should have let him suffer some more. He broke her heart, she lost her ability to draw which was so sad.

She had a lot of trials in the drama I was sobbing with her when the grandfather died 💔

This was a great drama but I would love to see some backbone to the female leads where she ends up with the kind man Su Cheng instead of that horrible man that will constantly make her life hell. Would we do this in real life hell NO

And it seems that after he humiliated her in their engagement party, she still runs after him for favors! Awful. She allows him to manhandle her any time he wants. I would have smacked the living crap out of him and tell him she is engage to someone who does respect and believes her. Just to make him mad!

One of my favorite top ten dramas. I love the theme of the Jewelry design/creating business with competition, I find that fascinating.

In this drama the leading man was a macho jerk. An egotestical arrogant ass who treated his lover horribly by mistrust, humiliation, and so much disrespect I needed the fast forward button on a lot of his scenes! Granted, the writers made the female star a weak whip who rolled over every time this jerk looked at her. I really don't like this type of character; she's just too delicate and weak. The writers just made her a simpering fool in love with an asshole.

he was absolutely a high spectrum narcissist. He had no redeeming qualities whatsoever. I honestly think if the other guy hadn't been interested in her he would've let her go when she so thoroughly rejected him the first time. But because of the other guy, hs couldn't stand to lose her to his rival.

@@estrellabeale9036 Yeah when I'm asked about this drama I tell people - stop watching it when she tells him she's done with him after the wedding situation. If you watch it to the end you will rage at your screen for HOURS. I can't understand her at all - the guy was VILE and he didn't change - he just decided he wanted her back because of her beginning to like the other (REALLY nice) guy. So it was a horrible ending all round. I could never trust him again - what happens the next time he's fed false information? He never even properly investigated it..........
