Please let there be a part 2 for the So Cheng?! That way we can see him get his love too and revisit the rest of the characters. Hopefully Gao Jie get pregnant and goes hormonal on her hubby. That should be part of his punishment.

Yu Zhi would've been slapped...HARD! After all the crap he put Gao Jie through seriously, the character forgave him. Like Tina Turner said to Ike, her abusive ex-husband, 'what's love got to do with it'. Yu Zhi did not deserve a second chance. He did so much damage to Gao Jie and idly sat back while others like Gao Hui and her mom continually humiliated, belittled, framed and just mistreated her. What kind of love did his character hold because it was not a love for the ages. He did too little most of the time so at this point I wish they had her stick to her guns and NOT take him back. He acted like a man-child and yet his character was supposed to be considered charming and handsome but that only gets you so far. What happened to loyal, supportive, considerate and will stand up for the person you love. As a love interest they set the bar so low for his character. I would've thought this was a sweet moment IF I didn't know all that came before it.

I definitely agree with you the reconciliation was way too fast. And it's not second chance, it's a fourth chance he is asking for. And his wanting to let go of everything he did to her in past? Sure, she never went out of her way to hurt him, but he never hesitated to toss her away and was usually pretty obnoxious about it. She better grow a set of b***s to protect herself from all the crap that is done to her by the others because he doesn't do it. But maybe the writers will remake him onto a good, trustworthy man for a while.(?)

@@pattilounsbury4033 lol They gave him moments but I didn't love his character. With the exception of grandpa, all the men in Gao Jie's life did her dirty. From her sperm donor to her boyfriend, she got a raw deal. I think forgiveness could be given but I wouldn't have taken him back. And her sperm donor could've kicked rocks as well. I mean he was gone for 2 decades wo/ a phone call, card, email, text, letter writing in the sky, carrier pigeons, radio song dedication, I mean something to stay in her life.. Then he pops back up with the witch who he ran off with and their demon spawn. Yeah, I wouldn't claim him as my 'papa'.

He did say sorry when he was massaging Gaojhies feet. And besides Gaojhie loves Yuzhie too and they are meant for each other. Yuzhie always regrets when he wrongs Gaojhie.

@@elizabethlafasni5151 Compared to all the harm he has done to her and pain he has caused her, just saying "I'm sorry" while rubbing her ankle doesn't cover it. He has thrown her under the bus quite a bit without bothering to find out whether what has been said about her is true so I definitely don't blame her for not forgiving him at this juncture. He has a long way to go for that to happen. PS: His "always regretting" ?? It takes a very long time before he regrets anything he has done.

Besides this FL, there was another FL from another drama that I noticed that they did the same thing when confronted by the ML AFTER all the harm they did to him. Both ML's approached the FL's and both ladies took a step back and flinched. That is the tell tale sign of trauma. I don't care what the reason or excuse you have, when someone does that you should kowtow to them and grovel on the sharp gravel. No one has the right to treat you bad enough to make you take that step back. That's like when an animal cowers from humans. That means you aren't that much of a human.

Oh, and saving her? He put her in danger by diverting her driver. She would have gone straight to the police protected airport and been perfectly safe instead of off the beaten path and the slimy Brothers. Hmmmm.
