Whoever recites Surat Al-Kahf on Friday, it will illuminate him with light from one Friday to the next (Hadith Nasai, Bayhaqi, hakim) The Prophet (saw) said, “Whoever commits to memory the first ten Ayat of the Surat Al-Kahf, will be protected from (the trial of) Ad-Dajjal (Antichrist).” [Sahih Muslim] In another narration, “(Whoever commits to memory) the last ten Ayat of Surat Al-Kahf, he will be protected from (the trial of) Ad-Dajjal.” Allah, the Almighty will give Dajjal some supernatural powers the manifestation of which will shake the faith of many people. For this reason, this will be a serious trial. All Prophets warned their people against him. Our Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) also warned us against him and ordered us to guard ourselves from it and strictly advised us to seek Refuge with Allah against it. This Hadith tells us the way to save ourselves from Ad-Dajjal. The recitation of the first or the last ten verses of Surat Al-Kahf is very useful for this purpose. There are 4 Major themes in this Surah 1. Trial of Faith - People of the Cave/ Ashabu Al-Kahf (Verses 9 - 26) 2. Trial of Wealth - The story of the rich and the poor (Verses 32 - 44) 3. Trial of Knowledge - Moses and Al-Khidr (Verses 60-82) 4. Trial of Power - Dhul-Qar-nayn with Yajuj Majuj (Verses 83-98)

Yesterday was Jummah, i was going home from work to have lunch so i was listening to this surah on my way home, and i had a car accident, idk how it happened it just did, thanks to Allah I didn’t got hurt not even one bit, on which seemed a pretty dangerous accident i walked out of the car with my own 2 legs without a single injury. I wish people considered and reflected upon the verses in this surah more. Take the first 15 verses for example. There is a hadith that says if you memorize the first 10 ayat of this surah, you'll be protected from the Dajjal. I don't think Muhammad, peace be upon him, meant that in a low-resolution manner (ie memorize them and you're safe). I think it was deeper than that. If you are cognizant of our reality as well as Islamic eschatology, you will perhaps understand why I state this. Most of us don't consider where our material products come from nor where they end up. We don't think about the amount of impact seemingly minor things have, like watching a video. When you do so, you increase the video's popularity. When you share a video/picture, it spreads to hundreds of people. When you buy a packet of cheese, all plastic wrappers each have potential to kill an animal once they're thrown out, and even if they don't, they still leech chemicals into the environment. Even our money is wholly and solely based off of usurious banking systems. 1 month worth of electricity usage requires a handful of trees to compensate for the pollution. Back to the first 15 verses of this surah. The young men did not flee their village due to outright oppression (at least not indicated by the surah). They left because they felt it was becoming too haram of an environment for them so they traded it for life in a cave. They traded the nice city life for life in a cave. And when people would approach the cave, they would switch gears and grow terrified (perhaps this is metaphorical, ie mental or emotional approach to such a feral lifestyle instead of the easy, town lifestyle, is terrifying). Remember, the dajjal will present you with Heaven and Hell, and Muhammad, peace be upon him, said to jump into the Hell you're presented with by the Dajjal because you will find it cool and soothing. We know the Dajjal cannot form actual Heaven and Hell, so this could very well be a metaphorical representation of living in the city with porn, pharmaceutical medications, phones, electricity, online shopping, etc. versus living on a small farm in the middle of nowhere. There is also a hadith that says, when the Dajjal appears, the genuine Muslims will flee into mountains, caves, deserts, etc. These first 10-15 verses are lessons that Muhammad, peace be upon him, notified us to take to heart. The guys gave up the fun, easy city life to escape degeneracy and moral decay of their nation, and instead chose to live in a pitch-black cave instead. There is a punishment concept in psychology called positive punishments vs negative punishments. Positive punishment = something "bad" was added to your life (ie pain, suffering, extreme temperatures, forced into war, etc.) Negative punishment = something "good" was taken from your life (ie you lost your wealth, lost your kids, lost your sight, etc.) People in the past struggled with positive punishments. Perhaps our punishment is largely negative punishment as it was for the men in the cave (giving up most of the things we love in the modern world). Anyways, I really think that the verses should be reflected upon on a deeper level.

Almost, every surah talk in some of its part about Moses(PBUH) . Moses(PBUH) is an "arsh prophet" besides (Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad peace be upon them all) . He is very honoured in Islam and he is very iconic for the "Abrahamic monotheism " .

I don't think you can truly describe the feeling when you read/listen to Quraan. The most basic thing is happiness. I feel like my soul is being fed and I am absolutely transfixed( if that's a word) but there's more...

Sub Han Allah I found the answer to what ie been hearing so many Athiests say "oh why cant I just be a good person and live this life and so on, I dont need a god to tell me that" Quran Surah Kahaf "Say O Prophet, Shall we inform you of those who lose the most deeds. They are the ones whos efforts are in vain in this worldly life, while they think they are doing good, it is they who reject the signs of their lord and meeting with him, redering his deeds void." This baught something so profound to my mind, those who merely do good in this world, THOSE who dont do it with the intention of meeting their lord, (in fact athiests reject Allah with this notion "oh im a good person"), the hellfire will be for them. So just being a good person is not enough.

It is the last Friday before ramadhan may Allah forgive our sins I.a

Alhamdulillah I've memorise this surah from the first verse to the 110 verse all by the grace of Allah.I know to others is not easy but practise makes it perfect day by day.May Allah guide our souls

It's June, 3rd 2022 (Friday) 12:14 pm here in the US and I am listening to this amazing Quran from my computer while getting ready for Jummah Salah!

Something in this Reciters voice just moves my heart so much. Subhan-Allah.

Beautiful recitation, and a beautiful voice...we love playing this in our home

Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala said: قُلْ اِنَّمَاۤ اَنَاۡ بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوْحٰۤى اِلَيَّ اَنَّمَاۤ اِلٰهُكُمْ اِلٰـهٌ وَّا حِدٌ ۚ فَمَنْ كَا نَ يَرْجُوْا لِقَآءَ رَبِّهٖ فَلْيَـعْمَلْ عَمَلًا صَا لِحًـاوَّلَايُشْرِكْ بِعِبَا دَةِ رَبِّهٖۤ اَحَدًا "Say, "I am only a man like you, to whom has been revealed that your god is one God. So whoever would hope for the meeting with his Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in the worship of his Lord anyone."" (QS. Al-Kahf 18: Verse 110)

It helped me to take this surah as my favorite

Subhanallah, I hope many people are reciting Surat al kahf on Friday, Inshallah you are all practicing Muslims who will go to jannah
