I 100% agree with Daisy saying the show does a good job of showing the spectrum of experience. For reconciling the history with current beliefs, we see the brothers move into fundamentalism and Andrew Garfield's character move into a loss of faith. But at the same time, we see Brenda remaining true to her faith and the beauty of that even until her very end (even with Brenda's parents taking Allen in after everything).
Almost every actor looks uncomfortable or looks like they don't wanna be there lmao

It has major "last interview in the marathon" vibes. Interviewer is high-energy, and they're all just so DONE. Andrew and Gil seriously look and act like they just took a big bong hit beforehand. lol
Andrew Garfield makes as good a Mormon as he does Spider-Man.
Blood Atonement is a creation of Brigham Young
"telling a true tragedy with sensitivity"? The sister of Brenda publicly stated that the portray of her sister in this series was nothing like her...The series was based on a book about the event so they didn't have to accurately portray any of those involved with the case...After all, there was no Detective The shows' dialogue wasn't even remotely accurate. he'll be done before you say Lamanite three times? Constantly saying Heavenly Father instead of God.....Nobody talks like that or sounds like Voldemort.

lol as an ex mormon yeah they do. My bf and I come from the religion and I think they got all the mannerisms of mormons down pretty well. It was a triggering experience for both of us to say the least😅

Theres a whole thread of ex-mormons who said the show was spot on with the LSD community language.
I thought Bill Taba's character was good way to draw attention to the silly racist beliefs of Mormonism.
