plastique seems very introverted and shy in this interview. she seems humble and precious as well, i hope she doesnt get stomp all over by some of the bigger personalities in the work room. really rooting for her to go to the top, but i can already see people saying she doesnt have a personality and just a look queen.

Tainted Life - Totally! As much as pretty/glamorous/campy Drag is great, queens who shake things up, surprise and unsettle really speak to the roots and future of Drag. I’m super excited to see what she does. Besides, it takes a truly fierce queen to take their look to the edge between grotesque and gorgeous.

I think drag race has picked up on the popularity of Dragula and wanted someone on the show to represent that. I know, for me, that is what really draws me to her. She really is the countervoice to a lot of these other 'polished' queens (not that there is anything wrong with being fishy). I really hope we get more of these queens and that they don't become just token queens, because I think diversity in drag artistry is also part of the need for diversity on the show.

Risa C. I agree. Also we’ve seen so many queens and now it’s just commonplace to be beautiful and perfect. I like to see a queen who works on her own costumes where you can see they are more than just a fierce shopper.

I swear she must have kept one from the rest or snatched it away from a meeker neighbour because she was continually boring and ill timed. Since their being presented as a group, I know I wouldn’t keep handing the mic back to someone who loudly cuts in to say literally nothing of interest. It’s so important to use Drag Race as a platform to highlight diversity and inclusivity in the LGBT+ community. Rajah clouded an opportunity to showcase that by interrupting and over talking the first Muslim queen on the show and attempting to make it about herself. There’s a huge difference in back and forth banter that’s comedic versus rudely interrupting and screaming into the mic to drown everyone else out. She wasn’t even funny 🙄
