Man, it's great to be back in Neo Otaku City! Alright, time to review this baby (again) and see how it stacks up to the original light novel: • The timeskip originally begins with the mayor's speech being extended, and service for new gacha games being extended as a result of the new fiber connection. • Hideki's presence here seems superfluous because the anime cut his introductory scenes from the parts of the light novel covered in season 1. • Oh, the annual Holy Grail War was canceled due to the events of last season. • Joe's sequence takes more than that brief scene in the light novel. The novel goes into detail about how he cut himself off from his internet, left most of his stuff behind, refused therapy and manhandled a Gundam sales clerk whom he thought was a scalper. • Nobu's story will be getting a spinoff soon! • The villain from the last season finale stinger? *They had a scene where they were chuckling about the improved internet speed.* • Officer Vink was supposed to try and stand up for Diesel, but his scene was cut due to time constraints. Overall, season 2 begins with less pomp and melancholy than the original light novel, and the first hints of the real killer are left off from the adaptation.
