Everyone keeps saying Martinez “ showed Aldo to much respect “ and although perhaps there may be some truth to that, I feel more so he just wasn’t expecting Aldo to still have that quick of hands and power. Literally during the first couple of exchanges Aldo caught him with a nice counter and it made Martinez back up and go on the defensive and it wasn’t till round three that he recovered and started connecting with Aldo until he just got countered and rocked again.

Since Conor, Aldo lost to Max, Volk, Yan, Merab, and Moraies by split decision. Pretty good list, but he still lost to those guys. He also beat Edgar, Vera, Font, Munhoz, Moicano, and Stephens. Also a good list. He was right there, just not at the tippy top. I’ll always watch Jose Aldo.

O'Malley would accept an offer to fight Aldo just so he could slide Merab out of pettiness.

We don’t need that, he has nothing but decisions against the lesser BWs and loses against merab, Yan, etc.. this is a weird bias move.. let him get his couple paychecks and retired again into the sunset.
