Our mom bought us that record and played it to us often! ( some 65 years ago!) I still have the record!

I love this book and the songs. I learned it in the 50’s when I was growing up. I still have the songs memorized. Timeless and dear.

Our family had this record when I was growing up. I can still sing along with the chorus. I love discovering that Neville sold this book. It was a seed of faith planted in my thoughts when I was very young.

This story is connected to faithfulness from god see the little boy belive the carrot seed can grow and his family said it wont grow but the little boy still belive that the seed can grow after weeks of waiting it still didn't grow but one day it grows! the meaning of faith or faithfulness is the people is trusting a people even he didn't see thank you all god bless you

So many people will try to talk us out of our visions and dreams that many times we don't remain faithful to our assumptions. this bought memories to kindergarten when my teacher gave us the choice to read this. im in 5th grade now..man, time goes by fast..

EXCELLENT! Prior to seeing this video it was suggested to a family. The exact things were said. The youngest grew tomatoes indoors in winter. They are thriving now so LOVELY.

Yes indeed! The Carrot Seed was written by Ruth Krauss and illustrated by her husband, Crockett Johnson in 1945. Crockett Johnson was the creator of the very well known children's book "Harold and the Purple Crayon". Ruth Krauss is the writer of my favorite children's book, "A Hole Is To Dig" This book was illustrated by Maurice Sendak, the creator of "Where The Wild Things Are".
