This is the watch that made Patek Philippe CEO criticize Tag Heuer for their extremely low asking price for a Tourbillon. Tag Heuer managed to expose the higher brands for their ridiculous pricing of this complication. I'm glad this happened.

That's because this watch is made entirely by machines where as tourbillons made by respectable brands are assembled by watchmakers which is why they are much more expensive

Yes, they finish them by hand, but the 10 up to 20 times as expensive is never justified! They ask for astronomical figures because they simply can. Otherwise, why would the PP CEO get so upset?

@@atharvachoudhari538 I'd rather a machine with 100% accuracy and precision build my watch then a watchmaker tbh. Such a useless excuse to justify higher price margins these days. Even high end pateks that are "hand-crafted" are basically just a watch maker assembling a bunch of parts that were all created by a machine anyway.

Tag Heuer are doing all the right things. They released some stunners this year. Long live Heuer!!!!

I've been actively in touch with the Boutique as well, and they're just wonderful to talk to. This whole saving up experience has been delightful, it gave me a goal to push for, and it's made me realise that A. Lange & Sohne customer service is just absolutely top notch. I email them every now and then, they're happily waiting on me to confirm my order - they're more excited than I am. Cheers, mate. Take care!

TAG, one of the few brands you can make two videos on in the space of a couple weeks and people will accuse you of being a shill. Too bad about all the hate they get. I have a few of them and they have all been rock solid.

They are good looking, but they are not as reliable as an omega for example, My dad traded one for a Victorinox (plus cash of course). Victorinox gives you a 3 year warranty, Tag gives you 2, go figure out that one

@@tacuazinful to be fair if you get your tag serviced inside of those two years it does extend your warranty. This may be common on other brands as well, not sure.

I had a Tag Aquaracer for 2 days before discovering all the hate for the brand, I promptly returned my Aquaracer and honestly miss it to this day. I'm calling crap to all these haters and buying my aquaracer back tomorrow. This watch is absolutely beautiful.

My first “proper watch” was in 2004 a Carrera CV2010 costing £3000, I am fortunate to now own IWC Grand Seiko Rolex Bremont Omega Far to many to make sense, however the daily watch I still wear the most and makes my self esteem go up a notch is the Carrera

My the most "proper watch" is ... TH series 4000 mod. 695.705 form the beginning of 90s. True everyday workhorse and sidekick. Even green and red enamel is in good condition. I'd love if 90% of my much more expensive modern watches were manufactured so well and robust.

One of the reasons I want this watch is because it annoyed PP’s ceo for being an “affordable” Swiss tourbillon 😆

Wow, what masterpiece, great spec sheet and definitely has a sporty aggressive look too. Go Tag! I wouldn't have any reservations about buying one, and if I had the choice between a Daytona and this watch, I'd go for this on the basis that I would get more enjoyment from looking at it than I would from looking at the Daytona. 👍

I was lucky enough to be gifted my very first Swiss watch back in early 2000, this being a new TAG Heuer S/EL chronograph in white, silver and gold. It was my daily beater for the next 9 years and never skipped a beat accompanying me working on production machinery in automotive factories. It doesn't get too much wrist time as my collection has grown, but puts a big smile on my face everytime I wear it. I do hope TAG Heuer climbs back to the heights they have previously seen.

Looking to get my first luxury piece and fell in love with the Tag Carrera Caliber 5. Either the Day/Date 41mm in black. Or the date only silver dial in 39mm.

I really like it! It‘s a very good Swiss tourbillon. Many other Swiss tourbillons (also very high priced ones) actually don‘t have COSC certification and run on lower Hz. So this is not only a "cheap" tourbillon, it is also a very good tourbillon performance wise. And I like the design too. 😁

Pheew... Really surprised how good the finishing work holds up even under the closest macro shots! The industrial-styled Tourbillon looks really sharp and sexy! This 02T is a great one, TAG Heuer! Thanks for showing, Watchfinder!

Your video is missing two things: 1.A shot of the watch on your wrist in POV. 2. A shot of the watch on wrist from the outside perspective. This always helps me visual whether or not I want to purchase the watch. Sometimes I see a watch that I won’t like but seeing it on someone else and how it goes with an outfit I often change my mind and become intrigued by watches that I didn’t before.

Absolutely love this watch. Tag have also released a few limited edition versions (300 pcs), one with a full forged carbon case and bezel.

I got into watches just a few years back because of a Blacked out skeleton Carrera I saw in a cruise ship. This one is mesmerizing.

Me too! Tag get a lot of bad press and deserve it but among the crap are gems. Pity they can't do the sundial hands better they put me off it. Pressed tin and no caps on them. If they were good then I'd love it

I do like Rolex, but I don't love them... When you compare their craftsmanship to many other brands I think they are actually really overpriced. Fair play to them for building a successful brand, but as a watchmaker I don't massively rate them. For example, I think I've only ever seen ONE Rolex with an exposed movement you could see, and that was a (ridiculously hideous 🤢🤮) skeleton model.

I own a Daytona. I own a vintage Heuer Monaco circa 1970. Love both. I also love Chinese and pizza. It is not one is better than the other.

great car analogies although I would say it was the NSX was the first car to put the exotic car makers on notice that super cars had to be reliable as well. The R8 definitely carried on that legacy as well as the venerable 911

I like my 02T very much and yes, I agree - this is the Audi of mechanical watches (which I appreciate) I recognize it is not everyone’s cup of tea and that is perfect for me... I don’t need to see the watch been worn by everyone, everywhere :-)

Their marketing is pretty solid for their target market. They basically own the market for people who want a 'luxury' watch brand as a real watch, without actually paying serious money for a Rolex or Omega.

Well, in terms of marketing, they are in the extremely talented hands of Mister JC Biver. He brought Omega out of the same situation Tag Heuer sits in nowadays and the recipe seems similar : focusing on the brand's history , hence the release of the autavia and this. The next step is likely to be a very prestigious endorsement of the brand.

I am lucky enough to have one of these watches and it is beautiful in every detail. I have friends who own a variety of Rolex’s and this watch receives far more compliments when we are out. You won’t see every teenager wearing a copy of this either, like is common place now with Rolex’s and a few watch snobs out there need to recognise and appreciate the quality of these time pieces. I would have this everyday over a Rolex/Omega or Breitling. Highly recommended 👍🏻

I am a watch snob. However I do not think I have seen a better watch than this one.

I’m stunned. This has always been my least favorite brand. This is gorgeous.

Finally someone saying it. These watches are amazing. Nothing bad to say about them.

I think the main problem with TAG Heuer is LVMH. They keep and promote a brand with so much horological history in the entry level. So the people perceive it as a "cheap" brand. Even though they deserve better. It's the same thing Swatch does with Hamilton. The other problem I think is that they try to cover a big market with their modern watches, their vintage watches and their smart watches, so they end up with a bit of gimmicky designs. Maybe they should just focus on one thing. Anyway looks like a great watch and I do hope the brand will get more respect!

I have 2 Tags, I ain't in the Rolex catagory, I bought them, not because they were a entry point to luxury but it was the F1 relationship, Senna and his Carrera etc. Love my Monaco.

I still have my Bourne Identity Link 1/10 Chronograph quartz. I had mine before Jason ;) Been wearing it for the last 23yrs. I have other mechanical watches. But none as hassle free as my Tag....Ok, maybe the Casio for workouts😅

Did you ever find such a review? I can tell you that a couple of months ago I looked at a Calibre 01 and a Calibre 02 side by side and bought the 01. Yes, I know all about the fact that TAG Heuer didn’t *really* design the 01 movement in-house, but honestly IDGAF… my skeleton 01 is a gorgeous mechanical marvel and looks nearly identical to the 02 (which rotates the dials 90°). The 02 movement is truly in-house designed, if that makes a difference for you, and the power reserve is longer than the 01. But otherwise, both models look and feel all but identical.

OK, we all love the expensive stuff. I a lot of us would enjoy a review on a tactical watch. Like seiko, Casio, timex or something along those lines. Not so fun destroying my omega when I go hiking or so other sport when I can really damage some of the time pieces I love.
