What's going on, brother! All the way from Cleveland! I see you doing your thing. Keep it up that's my goal as well. I gotta question how you go about with your taxes? Does courier express take it out automatically, or do you do it yourself? If can you give us a shot brief breakdown because it's a 15.3% self-employed taxes and range between 25-40 percent taxes.

1099 workers are responsible for doing their own taxes. You can write-off most expenses if it's business related. You'll want to determine for your vehicle if you want to use milage or actual. Most of us chose milage. If you chose milage, for 2024 it's something like .67 per mile. I'd get a milage tracking app like stride or everlance for example. If you choose milage, you can't write-off expenses such as fuel, vehicle maintenance like oil changes etc etc, car loans, and insurance as that's already factored into the milage rate. Keep track of your income. Stride can let you see daily how much your estimated taxes will be as long as you enter your income and expenses daily.

I work for two courier services that dispatch me on Medical stuff only. Yes some nights I get multiple runs when they have union call outs. With wait time and stop offs and 300 mile run it pays $450 a night. Sometimes I get a run to Southcoast/Providence that takes me home and it’s on five hospitals and 8 boxes. That one is around $200.
