Thank you so much for your detailed and thorough review. My Nilfish pressure washer failed after about only about 100 hours of use. I was looking into another Nilfisk or Kärcher pressure washer when I stumbled upon your video. I got a Black Friday deal on the Ava P60 and only used it twice so far but I'm very impressed by the product: the build quality, the ease of use, the attention to details.. I didn't mean to spend 350€ on a pressure washer but I considered it to be an investment and I'm so glad I spend the extra money to own a proper, well thought through pressure washer. I haven't checked your other videos yet so I'm unsure whether you've already tested the updated foam gun but I must say it functions well and looks like a major improvement over the foam gun you reviewed. Thanks again and all the best mate!

I have just ordered this, and got this message from Ava - "I just want to make you aware that while AVA machines are engineered and manufactured to the highest standard possible, they are consumer level machines. We see many successful examples of machines such as the Master and Evolution being used in tough and professional environments, however, please be advised that any such use of any of our equipment voids our warranty/consumer guarantee, and you are therefore liable to pay for any parts or repairs that need to be done to keep your machine in working order." I wondered if anyone else knew this?

Hiya buddy. Initially I did think this was a strange response but on reflection it could be argued that it is an honest response from Ava. Albeit any potential customer may evaluate this as the machines are not built to last, I think it goes without saying that these machines are not designed for hard professional use. My personal opinion is that Kranzle are one of the only brands that built pro-grade machines designed for persistent professional use. Yes you can use Karcher/Ava and others but these will not stand the punishment that a Kranzle can handle. Cheers for comment and happy to discuss further.

I have also bought the Evolution P60, but from a Norwegian detailer firm who has a collaboration with AVA and customized it to what they think is needed in the kit. They call it AVA P60 X WashKing Edition and comes with 20m hose, a Selaclean Foam Cannon with AVA Bayonet Male connector, 90 deg lance for arches etc, AVA Swivel and 6 liters of various Auto Finesse soap/foam wax plus those standard stuff/nozzles that comes with P60. All that for 367 Pund.

I set a budget and went down the list like you did, but one of my wishes was to mount it into a wall. I ended up with the Allblack 9 from direct hoses as it had more than my K2 had and the bundle I got ment I didn't have to spend more money purchasing extra equipment e.g. hose reels and quick release adaptors etc etc. Well done as always guys 👏👏👏

Paul. Thanks for watching. Yes I deliberately used the water butt off camera to prove to the audience that the P60 can use this facility without any real noticeable degradation in performance. As I suggested on the film, the self-priming hose took far too long to get the water going through the machine in my opinion. Without doubt my recommendation would be to assist the priming process by filling the hose with water as best you can before attaching to the machine.

Great machine! I have the p70, overkill for what I need but I liked it so I bought it. Design build is second to none, the way it wraps up to one complete package is superb. But, I wouldn’t begin to use mine unless I knew I had a few 13 amp fuses handy. Iv had mine since December and can count on one hand how many times iv used the machine and it blown 3/4 fuses. Fuses are relatively cheap and take seconds to change so not a huge problem but still abit frustrating.

I am still not convinced on changing from Karcher as the machine looks a bit flimsy to me especially the cable management. I roll my cable and pop it into the wee pocket on the back of my K5. I watched your video in full to give it a fair chance and I was nearly convinced until I read the comments on a potential fuse issue which killed it for me. It certainly has it's good points but if it is to be the machine of choice with most it needs to look at the industry trends and have a better snow foam lance at release and I know you say there is a new one coming but I presume it will just be larger. In its defense my Father in law doesn't have an outside tap at home or his holiday home so working from a water butt may sway him to overlook any fuse issue. A good review and an easy watch so thanks for that. In my experience any of us that are serious about our detailing but not in the trade as such aspire to a Kranzle as that is what seems to be the weapon of choice for the pro's so I am not sure this will succeed it may be the Beta Max of video recorders. I may be wrong in my assumption and I do like the non throw away culture this company are promoting but the machines are using a higher flow rate and as water is a diminishing resource is this a good selling point where it is promoting a good ethic in sustainability. Rant over.

Dont buy AVA, the quality is not there. The major problem with AVA pressure washers are the microswitch for the pump. Flimsy is correct. I've owned and used the P70 Master and the P80X Evo. Both of them are better to use than Karcher, but that does not help when it breaks down all the time.

  • @thecarboutique2467

John. Thanks for watching. The Ava machines are in my oppinion better build quality than Karcher. Saying that there are still plastic parts on the Ava and it is definitely not a bullet proof Kranzle. The power cord winder is a bit flexible but after 6 months and careful ownership my P60 is still in perfect working order with regular use. The fuse issue has been bad press for Ava but the majority of these issues have been with the higher power models and not the P60.

I've got a Karcher K7 and it failed within a couple of months as the Bluetooth system failed. I sent it back under warranty with the original box and got a crap cheap box back that couldn't store the patio cleaner. The hose is an absolute pain constantly curling up. I do need a long hose as I've got a BMW 7 & 5 series cars to clean. That looks like a much better pressure washer. Not sure if Karcher has maintenance programme, I suspect not!

I don't think you understood the low effort feature on the trigger. There's a small black indented button towards the top of the trigger - press that in with your pinkie when the main green trigger button is depressed; the small black button keeps the larger trigger held on/depressed, without contact needed on the green trigger at all. When you released the green trigger (when demoing it at 14:12) - the black button flashed into view briefly - that's the bit you hold to avoid fatigue. Hope that makes sense and helps you or others. By the way, the blown fuses is easy fix, these washers are based on running EU and even USA boards, only in the uk do we actually shove a fuse at two points, unlike rest of the world, if you find its blowing your fuse its because the power to the 13amp plug is maxed out and the washer P70 and above don't have soft start like the cheaper models, however the fix is replace standard fm13amp fuse with a slow 13amp fuse caost the same as the standard fuse but it allows a delay in blowing said fuse IE it's like the same time that's needed for soft start, these fuses are actually used a lot in welders, and air compressors, it's just taken AVA longer to realise how other companies get round the problem

Agree generally however I have reviewed the Ava Pro Cannon and I have been using it for the last year with no probs. Not the best so I would agree that to get the best cannon, buy from a dedicated product line.

Got the p60 evolution large bundle off amazon 2 and half years ago £249. I bought the aluminium internal upgrade for the stubby gun direct from Ava. Apparently the plastic one fails. For £2 it's a no brainer.

Hello ! What about the long term usage ? Is it still working fine ? I’m about to get rid of my Karcher k2 and wanted to buy the p60 now. But I’m a bit scared of the connections since they are using the same connections like Karcher does and my Karcher is always starting to leak after changing between the different adaptors Best regards

Hiya buddy. I've had mine nearly a year and it gets used a lot. No problems so far. I am lucky I think as reading some reports, a lot of people have been having issues with power loss. Also a lot of people are reporting terrible customer service. Personally I love my machine and it has given me no issues but feel it only right to tell you what others have been saying. Cheers.

Does the P60 / 70 Master series use the same Karcher connections? That is very helpful as no one lists Masport if you are buying 3rd party items but they always list Karcher and Gerni etc.

I was just looking at getting the K4 after my K6.50 died (but it is 20 years old!) but now I’m convinced AVA is the way to go. What made you decide to get the Evolution over the Master as they seem to be the same underneath?

Hiya buddy and thanks for watching the video. The only reason why I went for the Evolution is the design of the unit. The Evolution looked more robust to me especially when it came to the lance holder at the top. I preferred the rigid frame of the Evolution in comparison to the more fragile looking Master lance holder. Not much in it really as essentially the same engine in them both.

Great review, would the standard foam cannon be ok for a beginner washing my off road buggy once a week or every other week or would i be wasting lots of foam liquid? could you recommend a snow cannon to go with this over the OEM one?

I will be honest the cannon that comes with the bundle will not get my recommendation irrespective as to how often it would be used. I have recently reviewed the upgrade version which does carry my recommendation.

Hi, I’m curious since I been watching and in the market for a electrical pressure washer. Does this model outlet works in NA region or do I have to convert some outlet to get the setup going? Any feedback is truly appreciated!

Im looking at getting an evolution P70 but really dont want to deal with the fuse issues people are reporting. This is pushing me towards a K7. Shame because I really liked this machine after your great review. Have you had any issues? I'm a domestic user who washes my drive maybe once or twice a year and my car every other month. Many thanks.

What your video does not show is the quality of the product. They need service regularly, and AVA has a big problem with the microswitch for the pump. My p80 evo is in service now, 4 hours use. The P70 master has the same issue. 20 years warranty and "made to last" but currently the service center in Norway is overworked. Great to use, good washing effect. Build quality is good. But, quality is not good. Buy something else, sincerely - P70 Master and P80X Evo owner

Hiya and thanks for watching. When it comes to quality it is hard to articulate that in words. Suffice to say I tried to show all the parts of the machine working in the video. For an update my machine is now over 6 months old and is still working perfectly. The bottom line is, similar to Karcher, there are still plastic parts on the machine so they can break. Unlike a Kranzle these units are not bullet proof so do need to be looked after. I would argue that these machines are for keen enthusiasts. I would go Kranzle if I was a professional detailer or studio based due to the aggressive use they would be subjected to. The P60 does not seem to have the fuse issue associated with the higher power models and I do agree with you that Ava customer service is in need of much improvement.
