This is comparable to a Bering Explorer yacht for build quality. Me likey. That range is even better than a Nordhavn. I like the looks and styling better as well. And a steel hull. Yes please.

What CDM was able to do with 86 ft is amazing.

Good editing. Steady walk through pace, moving from point to point with details that a cruising owner would appreciate. This yacht is well thought out. Simple, functional design throughout. Definitely proves that gold-plated super yachts are not necessary to be very comfortable in far away coves, especially for those owners who enjoy the voyage as much as the time on the hook.

I spent 40 years of my life at sea, the last 26 as Master (mostly oil tankers). Been retired 15 years now. This CdM 86 makes me yearn to ve at sea again ... on my own schedule and itinerary! 😉 But where is the fifth crew berth?

An amazing yacht. This was made a couple of years ago when she was for sale. Looks like it may be back on the market again.

I think one that size would look amazing. I love the look of this one but from some angles it just looks odd. They may keep it smaller though so you can have access to more places.

Love the naurical distance this boat can travel...7200 at 7knots. Very impressive. Pet peave, they need to seriously find some interior designers to spruce their boats up especially if they seek more top notch clients. The interior looks like just a cleaned up (broom & mop) fishing trawler. Just look at the Bering interiors...the boat literally sells itself. Even those less expensive Aquila 70 Catamarans have beautifully designed & functional interiors. Unfortunately this Darwin seems to go more with function & less appeal. Yet still one of the most impressive long haulers I've seen.

Would be interesting to have a quality comparison, but from an owners pov, I'd go for the CdM for the simple reason the layout is far better. Happy crew, happy boat.... if I'm doing long distances, I want them to have adequate quarters...

Again I am amazed that the architects don’t have the beds configured to rise lower and raise from the walls so that floor space can be used during the day.

I'm sure if an owner wanted to pay for that, they would do it, but what purpose would it serve? If you're chartering or on vacation, once you've finished sleeping, you're generally going to want to be outside.

Given this video is about a blue water yacht, probably the one movie NOT to have running on the TV is "Titanic"

beautiful and rational. The lounge behind the control cabin is beautiful. Too bad about the choices of color combinations of the walls, materials and lights. Unfortunately, you can't perceive the Italian design... It's like seeing an old hotel room on the Romagna Riviera.

Shared of previous video. Are you in the market for an Explorer Yacht?

Tell a person why a head on a boat is called a head, even if its in the engine room. How knots came about to tell the skipper, how fast they were going.

The only thing I don't like and that's for all yachts (personal preference) is the flybridge! Otherwise looks like it can take a pounding...!

Its a similar shape and the internal layout on the Bering 80 is a tad better, but the cruising distance is 4000 mile @ 8 kts against 7200 miles at 9.5 kts for the Darwin. I tend to be drawn to the Bering as a safer option. But that's me.

Can someone tell me if this is better than nordhavn 86??

Super cheap interior. Watch the video of the 92' Allseas. Incredible attention to detail and zero cheap, worthless kitchen and interior. Infinitely better boat than this. Very surprised the Italians chose to cheap this thing out.

I love the allseas, but not the kitchen area at all. Nothing cheap about this. Looks as good as the 92.I would love to have either.
