The way the Ar locks up, it wouldn't matter because its gas fed, no recoil fed.

+ontarioknivesNS7 but that would help since you could just release the bolt and cycle a round into the chamber. Instead of having to pull it back to cycle the round... But then again, you'd still have to load a can, so it works well regardless. If it aint broke don't fix it

10Greylock ontarioknivesNS7 zp1944 There isn't a Gas Tube(which is what cycles the BCG on a AR-15) on this Can Cannon. So there is no gases coming back to cycle the BCG. All the gases are used for propelling objects.

GY6vids I know this, I have built ARs before, I know how they function and what is needed. I was trying to explain that since there is not gas tube present, the bolt cannot unlock unless you pull it back with the charging handle. The weight of the bolt being completely irrelevant since its not a blowback action.

zp1944 the bolt carrier needs gas to unlock it from the barrel extension. without gas, it will not unlock itself. weight is completely irrelevant since its not a recoil operated system.

Just found this channel. Lovin it man. The thing about the Texas spiders lol so true.

Well this was a lot of fun. One note...and I'm mostly guessing here...but I anticipate the oddball stuff would do better if you pushed it farther down the can. You just have it right up at the front edge, which probably doesn't give it a lot of time under gas pressure. Similar to how a bullet's velocity increases with a longer barrel, I reckon Superman could be going a lot faster if he started at the back of the can.
