When we decided to embark on the campaign for CSULB, the first thing we concluded is that this is not a campaign for CSULB.
It’s actually for you. Your neighbors. Co-workers. And all 18 million of us who make up this incredibly dynamic region. As a public university, we understand that the word “public” isn’t just a moniker; it’s a mission. A declaration.
Therefore, we wanted to open it up to the very people it’s meant to serve. It’s a campaign for the community, by the community. And everyone can take ownership. It’s time for us to be proactive with our future and aggressive about our idealisms. Contribute to an initiative. Sponsor an individual student. Even start a new program.
With our declaration, we can usher in the kind of culture that enlightens and elevates every generation. It’s time to DECLARE what this university means to our community. DECLARE more open doors. More pioneers. More ideas to help grow our society. It’s time to DECLARE that accessible knowledge empowers and that CSULB has the power to inspire and enable each and every one of us to accomplish monumental things.
