holding this up to a friend on discord to prove the Reapers of Mass Effect are based on the Old Ones. :D there's even a reference in Mass Effect 2, when you go to the derelict reaper to retrieve the IFF, one of the research logs says "even a dead god can dream." The idea of cthulu is certainly paradoxical. A being whose existence does not matter as if it doesn't exist it is so powerful that it could bring itself to existence. Always phasing in and out of realism at speeds far beyond compression. The gaze of cthulu is not what causes madness, but rather thinking of it's existence. Seeing it not exist right in front of you is simply maddening

Many of the places he speaks of are places that I see on a regular basis, i.e the shunned house, angel st, Brown University, R.I.S.D. Thayer st, Not to mention his grave....Keep up the great work my friend!

A great reading, Ian. I'm happy I saw this in my recommended videos. Subbed straight away. I remember listening to your original reading repeatedly over the years while working/coding some of my own passion projects. Your voice and tone seemed to help keep me focused. I don't think I could read/listen to this without hearing it in your original take, even when listening to this one, it had a creepy and really interesting style to it I thought. Keep up the great work!

This is an amazing story. I like the various stories included in the tales of the old professor and his grand nephew. I love every part of this story, and the details are amazing. I listened to the first half of the story twice yesterday and today, so I could analyze the details! Ian, thanks for recording this great work! Your eloquence in reciting these tales is awe-inspiring. I am enjoying it with a fine scotch.

Koot-alu, as by Lovecraft. Thank you for including what so many other texts of the tale omit: the Outermost [Thurston] Frame. Your voice flies the language's bold momentum quite expertly on this tale, & it's refreshing to hear.
