💥💥 The GMO industry is the single greatest contributor to the cancer epidemic. 🤟🏼 I attended the March Against Monsanto worldwide march in 2013 in Princeton NJ and it opened my eyes to how widespread GMO foods were and I’m incredibly thankful for the education on the topic. I do not eat any GMO food or ingest any drinks with GMO ingredients and I eat 4 big meals each day. Stay healthy, everyone… 🌟

I tend to agree. Would be a hard case to win. There is a thin line between the "gotcha-game" and truly suing those who know they hide hard facts.

I know this comment is over a year old, but it might be worth a reply. When we talk about food, there are both "natural" sugars and added sugars. "Natural" sugars are those that are found in that food kind of "by default", without humans having to add it in. Fruits are a good example of this. They are high in sugar, but it's not a sugar that we put in there. It is naturally in the fruit. Milk (and basically all dairy products, for that matter) has sugar in it before we do anything to it. That is why it has kind of a sweet taste. That sugar is arguably healthier than the sugar we add in to make, say, yogurt, which comes from a natural source (mainly sugarcane) but would be considered an added sugar, since it was not naturally in the milk. By not writing the ingredient "sugar" in the label, we are led to believe that those 16g of sugar listed come naturally from the milk used to make the yogurt, not knowing that "evaporated cane juice" is another word for "added sugars", which are unhealthy and sadly found in almost every manufactured food product.

I don't understand the ending: Doctors "who kept me alive and healthy so I could make this film. and to David... who, had I met him earlier, could have helped me avoid all of my amazing doctors from Sloan-Kettering." I thought she believed chemo is bad, people should eat whole foods. Now she thinks the doctors are amazing. I guess she just wants to agree with everyone. I was surprised that her sister was doing chemo. I guess they are half-way to health-nut. They believe that eating healthy is good and they think chemo is good. Maybe in the future they will be full health-nut; thinking that eating healthy is superior to chemo and prescription drugs. To anyone interested in health, I would recommend the book Chris Beat Cancer. It's amazing and easy to understand.

And I don't understand your comment. Is health-nut a bad thing? There's a whole section in the documentary about integrative treatment, it's not about completely abandoning orthodox treatments.

What is so bad about a burger? There are bread, meat, and vegetables. It looks like a food item with pretty balanced nutrients. It has high calories? We need calories to survive. A Big Mac only gives you less than 15% of your daily energy needs. It´s not as sweet as sodas and ice cream, and not as salty as potato chips and hotdogs. It´s processed food? What is so processed about bread, vegetables, cheese, and beef mince? I don´t eat a burger every day, not even every week. But whenever I eat one, I think it is a healthy food. It´s also cheap, freshly prepard, safe to eat and delicious.

mpking1374 keep your life that way and you'll have at least one serious disease. What you say has no foundation. Read a few real books or articles about what real food is and why what you eat is not food.

You need to learn a lot more about nutrition. If that was that simple everyone would be much healthier. Food is not just calories and macronutrients. There's a whole world of other factors that interact and that can make a food become your worst enemy or your best friend. Refination processes, quality of fats and kind of fats, additives, macrostructure of the food (fiber distribution) all these things have a huge impact on your hormone response and metabolism, and long term that makes the difference.

You’ve almost got it- I know your intent is well with this post. I agree with you for the most part. A lot of diseases are a result of an over-abundance of macronutrients, leading to obesity. And, obesity results in high BP, diabetes, hormone problems, heart attack, stroke, you name it! So the issue, to your point, is not burgers. It’s excess macronutrients (calories!). Burgers are just a food, and it’s crazy that any food is demonized. Yes, the bread is processed. It’s not something you want to eat daily, or even weekly as you mentioned. But one-3 burgers a month for an otherwise active and healthy person is NOT unhealthy! I think you and I are saying the same things, but just wanted to clear it up for others commenting on your post

i think eating unhealthy food is fine once in a while, but by saying that ur giving ppl the mindset that it is ok to eat it everyday, which it is not. if u keep eating stuff like that, u will become obese, which will lead to higher risks of getting cancer, diabetes, heart failure etc.

Unreal, over processed meat. A piece of lettuce(iceberg), maybe a tomato slice, pickle slice, onion slice is NOT balanced. Far from healthy and definitely CHEAP. A cheap filler that gets you full of bs and not good vitamins and minerals. Try a chicken salad with spinach. They cost about the same and your body will appreciate your choice.
