This is a much better album than it is given credit for. Those who are true to themselves will unearth it and find it worth it.
A very underated album. I think it's very credible. Will always love The Byrds.

Gene Clark. Superiour Byrd. Superior voice. Superior songwriter. Often rooster spurred by the BAD BYRDS.
Gene Clark was a great songwriter - so many fine songs.
Brilliant song from a brilliant writer. One of a kind voice.👍👍
I haven't heard this song in decades. Another great one.
FOREVER!!! LOVE this album & the BYRDS
Hard to catch a breath if you're singing that chorus, but still a GREAT song from one of the best...
GENE CLARKI,one of rocks forgotten true POETS,...
This is Gene Clark's song. I'm sure he had imput on how his song should sound. Which is great just the way it is.
Sad this album wasn't number 1 when it came out in 1973 like their first two albums had in 1965
DAMN!! Look at all the talent in that picture above!!
If only I could have been at the Troubadour the night they played there in '73 and took those pictures! Alas!!

Yeah , it’s gotta be him , and it’s AWESOME !!
Essa canção de Gene Clark deve figurar entre as mais belas não só de uma geração mas de um momento mágico e único de quem teve situações ligadas a este monumento de beleza a arte musical. Esse solo de harmonica é único. Ficamos tristes quando a canção finaliza.

Jon Landau, yes, Springsteen's record producer, wrote in Rolling Stone that this album was " "one of the dullest albums of the year." When the album came out in 1973, I had high expectations of it but only 2 tracks resonated well with me. Things will be better and Changing Heart still sound as good some 50 years later they were released. Upon further reflection on Landau's review, perhaps he was right. Nevertheless, these two tracks showcase the Byrds ability to produce fine and long lasting music.

Sorry Jon , you missed on that one , or else you’re just not that much of a fan of the group . This was a BYRDS ALBUM , a reunion which as easily could’ve not have happened. I LOVED IT , and I remember getting the tape and listening to it a lot ! Ok , there wasn’t a big “ hit “ Ala Mr Tambourine on it and I just read somewhere that Crosby, who produced it , regretted some choices he made . Tell me that Gene Clark’s Full Circle , the first song on the album isn’t as good as Changing Heart ! That guy was a great songwriter and we’re lucky to have two of his best on this album. I have to admit that I haven’t listened to this album in a long time but now have rediscovered it and am once again really enjoying it. ❤

As producer, could Crosby have sunk McGuinn's Rickenbacker any deeper? A shame.

the story is the thing though - I hear some throwaway licks in there anyway
I wish McGuinn had remixed this and brought the compressed Rickenbacker sound more to the front. Not sure if this is true but Crosby deliberately eliminated the Rick from the mix just to break Roger's balls.

Crosby's ego got in the way, at the least.
