The Burning of the Böögg in Zurich for the Spring Festival of Sechselaeuten . An effigy of a Snowman called the "Böögg" is set alight and it is meant to symbolise the ending of Winter and the beginning of Spring. According to legend, the shorter the Böögg burns for the better the summer will be! In 2022 the Böögg burned for a full 37 minutes and 59 seconds - which does not promise a favourable one. Hopefully, this year he is wrong! :)
