Nice to see an Equipment Company that still sells some equipment for standard 1" hole plates. I only have standard 1" hole plates and use them for everything (including bench, squat, deadlift). Also very good review.

Great review! I used this machine for ~4 years and absolutely loved it. It was, by far, my favorite piece of equipment in my garage and the price is amazing for what you get. There are some DIY lat pull down leg guards floating around the web for this machine, but i agree, Titan should make a lat pulldown accessory. I recently sold it to make room for my Rep rack + Athena, but i was a little sad to let it go.

Got this a couple of years ago. Great product. One tip, before assembly, pop off the side of each pulley wheel and spray with silicone lube spray (not wd40) and wipe down the tracks with the same. Makes a huge difference.

@@StrongerThanBigfoot I considered that but the pulley replacement costs as much or more than the full system itself. I'm not talking anyone out of it but I found that lithium grease on each pulley helped significantly and has been good enough for me for now.

@@scottbrobertsrease works OK but can be worse than nothing if the environment is dusty. Dry lube spray is typically recommended for this type of thing

@@454Casull I wasn't clear. I lubed the inside of each pulley then reassembled it. Maybe that's still what you're referring to but it's worked very well for me. Some pulleys still don't move well (I can only assume due to poor quality) but most went from barely spinning on their own to multiple smooth rotations and remained this way for well over a year.

I have this in my gym. Been using it for a year and love it! Super easy to use and quickly adjustable. Like you mentioned I wish they had a removable lat pull down seat for it. That would make it complete and I think there would be a big market for it.

I got a similar wall mount cable machine during the lockdown, absolutely love it. I set up my bench in front of it and do almost all of my rows on it.

I have 2 of these. Got them early 2021. Got them about 7 feet apart. I use it like a functional trainer/cable cross over. This absolutely fit that cable machine need at a fraction of the price. When I got mine I think they were a lot lower in the price too. I have a separate plate loaded lat pulldown low row from Titan as well.

I’ve had mine for a year and a half and love it. I want everything I have to be versatile. Like a barbell, plates, rack, and adjustable dumbbells. This can be used for so many movements so I could easily justify it. Not great for chest flys, but I love it for reverse flys. My home gym is in my basement with extremely low ceilings, but this is compact enough that it fits between the floor joists. I would highly recommended this piece of equipment.

I have the Valor version that has been great for me for the past 3 years. I think the weight capacity is less but it has guide rods so it's pretty smooth. I never understood why more people didn't go this route. It's been one of the most useful budget pieces in my home gym to date.

I purchased one after the video you did a month ago about building an entire home gym on Amazon. It does what I need it to do, so I am happy with it.

You mentioned to list other cable stations that are wall-mounted, and I just recently purchased the one from ER Kang. It’s very similar to the Titan except it does have dual guide rods at the back which I feel makes it run much smoother. They also include the Olympic weight sleeves, and I paid about 220 bucks on Amazon prime day. It also included the same handles as a titan with a straight push down bar, lay pull down bar, and triceps rope. There is also a foot plate that mounts to the front so you could sit down and do floor exercises and brace your feet up against it. I find it excellent for the money and the features. Have you ever tried this one?

I’ve had mine for 4 years and love it. I would love some more options like you said if a lat seat was offered. I will def look into upgrading the pulleys, could be smoother.

I have just added the Mirafit version of this into my gym, and love it. It already comes with the Olympic sleeves and a double to single carabiner attachment as standard. Great build quality and great functionality. Being in the UK it is more expensive (£300) than the Titan equivalent you guys get in the US, but it does come with the additional sleeves and carabiner attachment. Love the GGR channel guys, keep up the great work.

I have a 2 of these in my shed!! I put one on each side of the door. It is the perfect substitute for a functional trainer! Great review!!

Bought it, love it. Provides that commercial gym feel without breaking the bank. All Coop’s critiques are on point. I would add that, when performing heavy straight-bar bicep curls, the front legs will raise off the floor slightly (they cannot be bolted down). Still my favorite piece of equipment in my garage gym.

Ive had mine for a couple of years, back when it was 125$. Other than not hagunv the bottom anchor point this version does, I love it. I have olympic plates for barbell, but also got a bunch of random standard plates so its great to have a set for each

I also have one of these in my apartment gym. It’s freaking amazing IMHO. Completely transformed my at home workouts. All the drawbacks Coop states are accurate, but for me totally worth it.

I have the Archon wall mount cable set and its very similar. Love it

I bought this knowing full well it’s a budget purchase. I was still surprised at how low quality it was. The nylon pulleys don’t spin even after lubricating. The pulley carriage on the front grinds against the steel cap in the long cable, so much so that I’m sure it will eventually grind down to the pulley. I wish I had spent the extra for the BOS tower.

I have this mounted between my 2 Rouge racks in my garage. I never understood why this product didn't get more hype behind it. My wife said she really wanted a cable machine if we had a home gym. I bought it thinking it would work till we had more money for a commercial style machine but she loves it so it's going to stay. We have had it for about 3 or 4 years and it's been solid. I've had 300lbs loaded on it and it handled it with no issues. When we bought it we paid $199 but still worth it at the current price for sure

I’ve had this machine for two years now and just love it! Since I’m intending to keep it indefinitely I recently added aluminum pulley wheels which give it a much smoother pull through.

I've had one for several years now and I bought sleeve adapters from Amazon bc Titan is always out of theirs. The little hack I like to use the most is that there's just enough space under the base support to slip a band through, so I use a light band and hook it to each of the loading pins. I usually leave the band on as my "base" resistance and load plates on top of that. The piece has been surprisingly fun and easy to use.

I’ve had my v3 of this over three years now. When I got it I paid under $150! Very good investment. I use my Olympic steel and bumper plates and don’t have any issues.

I had this and used it for a long time. It’s great and I loved it. For the price point it’s super hard to beat. That pop pin for moving the trolly up and down is the machines weakest point the threads stripped not long after buying it.

I've had the original/v1 for years now, and I love it! I add 3-1 oil to a rag and wipe down both metal beams every month, it helps everything move smoothly. Also, it's very easy to get some cheap hardware from lowes/home depot to create a fixed separation between cables when you want to connect them; I then use that to connect attachments when I want to use both pulleys for 1-1. This is more stable/smoother when you want to use each cable together, and it keeps them in more natural angle when using higher up the stack so the cables rub less/wear less.

@@Travis_24 to be honest I don't even know the name of the pieces I chose. I just went the hardware section and looked through to find what I wanted. Each side is like a bolt with a loop on the end, and there's a piece in the middle that they can screw/tighten into independently. This is so you can get the desired width/separation for the cables to fix their distance apart. But I've no idea what it is called. You can then put a carabiner clip in the middle of that, which clips into whatever accessory piece you want to use. There would be multiple ways to go about it, but that is what I found and works for me.

A key for my use of this was the height options. The Titan lower height options work in my basement. Most brands only feature stuff too tall for the basement.

I bought one a few months ago and I agree with all of your points. Great machine, could be better but for the price point, I'm very happy with it. I do like the idea of buying a second and pairing it with my original. Cost savings and increase in versatility make this a great idea. I will add the Olympic adaptive sleeve once they get back in stock.

Bout the V2 of this for $180 (pre-covid prices i miss you) and used it for 2 years and absolutely loved it. If i go back the garage gym route I'd buy this again, no hesitation even at the higher price point. Never had issues with the stock bearings/pulleys either but having the option to upgrade them is always there.

I have had a Valor BD-62 (what Titan copied here) mounted on my basement wall since early 2019, does the job. It was $150 back then and they threw in a 2 handle to 1 bracket in their version. I still use it daily in addition to my Rep lat low row, for lighter arm movements.

Been planning to DIY a pin-loaded cable system onto my Rogue R-3 rack, but man this would make my life easier and probably cost the same or less...

I've had this for a few years. I recommend not mounting directly to drywall with lag screw. First mount a 2x4 type to wall, span at least two studs. Both bottom and top. In the 2x4, make a clearance hole for the screw which will mount the rack to the wood blocking. Use a .25 Tnut and use .25 machine screw. This allow you to demount the unit without compromising the strength of the joint over time. It also spread the load via the wood blocking to TWO studs.

I actually think the slim rod option is better because you can always go thicker with a sleeve but you can't really go slimmer and in my case I built my home gym around the first set of dumbbells I got back in HS which uses the small hole plates. If it were a thick rod this wouldn't be an option for me.

Best piece in my gym next to rack and bar. DYI use a bench with roller to lock in your legs for lat pulls. I actually like the standard rod as it’s easier to pull weights off single handed.

I own two of them, and I connected the top of the machines together with a 8 -foot long metal rail and 6-inch corner braces with each machine facing each other , instead of side by side, to make a cheap self-standing functional trainer.

Have this in my home gym and I love it. I would probably go with the Inspire Fitness one from Costco if we had more room. But it fits the space and budget.

I have the inspire rack, bought it when it was $795 (I think), and really like it but wish they had a cable machine like this. So 1or 2 like this will be coming soon

I'm not a big fan of plate loaded machines but this looks nice. Really like your tip of combining two together

If you want to do chest flys on just one of these, attach both carabiners to a bar like the Steadfast multi attachment, use chains or long straps and connect your handles to them and you’ll be good to go.

I have two of the V1 versions (the old white ones) that use two guide rods. I have them setup exactly as you suggested, side by side and use them as cable cross overs. Next step for me is getting aluminum pulley wheels

I brought a similar one from Archon Fitness last year. I like how the weight carriage uses bearings vs bushings. Great addition to my gym.

@@CamaronesFuegos Definitely, the bearings give it a smooth pull, I have been using mine for about a 1.5 years and I have no complaints. My big bro has the Titan and is also happy. I think they are both great, but the archon has a smoother pull.

@@CamaronesFuegos I think so, in addition to bearings, it comes with olympic plate adapters and the carriage holes are numbered.

Love this thing, I drilled a couple holes (about 3/8”) on the back of the front post and made a makeshift lay pulldown. Plenty strong and works great, just don’t tell TF

I’ve had this for a about year now and it’s great 👍🏽

Had mine for over 3 years now. Replaced all the pulleys with gym grade pulleys which added about 80 more dollars. Also snapped the cable with about 160 lbs on it and replaced with home depot cable.

That to 2 to 1 and 1 to 1 ratio sold me. It's nice to be able to get longer movements and shorter heavier with so little of a change.

I have this in my killer garage gym mounted to my rack with custom mounts that I designed. It’s the absolute best accessory in my gym. Don’t buy the sleeves you don’t need them. I routinely stack Olympic weight on the standard sleeve and they don’t ever wobble. I paid less than 200$ and this equipment is something I use daily.

Good to know this is out there.

i always think that cable machines are all what you need at home gym, you can do chest back shoulders traps triceps biceps forearms abs, you can also go for legs with some additional parts thx for the review

It looks like they did nail the sweet spot there with price v. functionality. I like that it's wall mounted and you don't have to bolt it to the ground as well.

Coop, you are extremely helpful. Thank you so much for putting the thought and effort into all your reviews. My basement is too short for even the short Titan Wall Mount (which is 80.5) and I only have clearance for 76 inches. Are there any shorter options out there? Any advice?

Looks legit if you are on a budget and even tight on space, but something to be said to saving for that special piece you do want that isn't a huge compromise.

I bought two during the pandemic when they were $179 and made a functional trainer like you suggested and it is absolutely amazing

@@u8nt4utube Around 64 inches apart. I had them at 113 like a true cable crossover but then I had to make room for another piece of equipment

I have the Synergee fitness version of this machine. I actually love it. However, the ratio on mine is 4:1 with one pulley and 2:1 with both.

This is great for a beginner lifter or someone look to do high rep light weight cable stuff. I owned this for 2 years and anytime i went heavy at all, one of the plastic pulleys would break or the cheap plastic coated cable would get damaged. Its really not built with longevity in mind so i would definitely recommend getting a pulley system slightly higher quality for any serious lifters. I've swapped to just using a high strength DIY double pulley attached to my rack and its already wayyyyyy better.

I have been using this (version 2) for the past couple years and love it. I did buy the BD-62 cable attachment clip from Valor for $3 which connects the cables together and instantly became the biggest upgrade to this cable machine. Highly recommend!

I bought the BD-62 secondhand and it didn't have the clip attachment. I used it for over a year without the clip. I finally ordered it and man was it a game changes. Makes the machine so much more versatile!

This looks identical to the Mirafit wall mounted cable machine I bought recently. Mirafit are a UK company but I wouldn't be surprised if their machine is just a rebranded Titan. But I totally agree with your assessment, mine came with the olympic sleeve adapter, for a total price of £299 and I'm very happy with it for the price. It's not as smooth as a commercial machine in use, but it's a lot better than I expected and I've used some badly maintained cable machines in commercail gyms that were much worse than this. My only other gripe is that because the lower pulley on the upright juts out further than the upper pulley, if you're using it overhead you have to overcome the resistance of the ball on the pulley wheel to pull the cable down or pull the cable out a bit before down. If it's heavily loaded this can make it a bit awkward. I assume there's a good reason they've done it this way, but it's a bit annoying. Otherwise it's so much better than the cheap rack pulley attachement I've been using for the last 3 years. This is so much more versatile, and allows me to do much more accessory work with it quickly,

Hey coop your reviews are awesome and I watch all of them. With a new baby on the way I’m looking to get the most out of a home gym build. I keep seeing inspire functional trainers at Costco and online they have the Inspire FS3. Usually it’s $2500 but sometimes goes down to $2000. Could you do a review on it?

Ordered mine about a month ago and still have to wait until March for it to come in. Can't wait.

Ive had this cable system for over 5 years and have had zero issues with it. I use it 4-6x a week. If you get this I suggest taking off all the pulleys and grease each bearing.

This is the same as the valor fitness bd-62 and several other makers. I used one for two years with a half rack and it is great. Very versatile.

Have had 1 of these for a few years now and it has worked great!! Only issue I have is that after about the first year, the insulation on the main cable started coming off in several sections. Not a huge deal but just annoying having to replace it after such a short period.

I have the version 1 And I use it for lat pull down and etc plus I use the 2.1 & 1.1 ratio great cable for the price I attached it the rack solid peice of equipment

I'd still go for BOS because that can double as a squat rack (yes the holes can hold jcups) they call it the 'Plate Loaded Cable Tower Squat Stand' $725 only real draw back I think it uses their weird 2.3" rack attachments so you're stuck in that ecosystem but at least you have options. Has a pull-up bar and many attachments. A FT with a bonus squat rack is a really nice feature.

@@jamesroalson5269 I think you're going to run into an issue with the PIN/hole size on the attachments as the T2 likely uses 1" holes and I think the holes on the cable system are smaller.

Coop! I bought this pulley system last year to rehab after shoulder surgery. It's been a game-changer. The 2:1 and 1:1 becomes intuitive when you own it and upgrading components over time is certainly on the table. I have noticed a big problem, however - it's the plastic guide on the stack - it simply comes off. This has resulted in scratches in the metal it travels along. I've contemplated using epoxy to keep it attached to the metal weight-shuttle, but am uncertain of the long-term consequences of doing so. Any helpful ideas you have (or can glean from Titan) would be very welcome. As to the 1" plate loading - it was a great way for me to start as I have Ironmaster DBs and was able to use the weights for this until I could add Olympics for it.

Thanks for a great review! Like most garage gym owners, I'm limited for space. I have a heating duct intersecting at the wall next to the stud where I would mount this unit. So, no clearance issues for the 25" required at the base but I'm very limited for space at the top of the unit. The very top of the unit looks to be shaped a bit like a "T". How wide is that at the widest point?

Can you do a review on the compact leg press from titan? I’ve seen a lot of people use the powertec one, but I’m leaning towards titans version.

For similar price, you could buy the Valor Fitness BD-62 which is the exact same machine, except it has a guide rod and hence likely smoother

This looks really interesting, I have a basic Lat pull down/Row machine at home and use standard plates. I’m 6’2” so I remove the seat and use a very small stool for Lat pull down and have to add the cable for rows. It was only like $130. But I love the individual pulleys, I use them at the gym for pull down and rows, and always wanted one for home but they’re so expensive. I believe I can make this one work, but I’m not sure.

I just ordered this. Excited to get it in my home gym I’m building. But yes I hope or wish Titan came out with a lat pulldown seat for this.

My main gripe with the Titan unit is that the holes do not go higher on the front-upright. I personally own one from Valor Fitness and its better in my opinion. granted, you are spending a bit more, but I think its worth it for such a versatile tool in a home gym.

i too have it. for the price its great. if you're taller it might be a bit short for you, i'm 5'11". but works great.

I'm happy Titan sent this product is so GGR could do a commercial of approval. If you say things on Facebook and it's not approved by the certain KZread personalities than people will jump in with their attacks even when they don't even own the product. Some people have different budgets and I continue to relate that information but it doesn't matter because they want you to have a Maserati regardless of your zip code. I have one and it is attached to my inexpensive power rack. I wish you would have shown that as well but if you look on KZread you can see someone who has done it. This is a great product. It is very versatile and it's pretty much all you need unless you want to use the idea of getting two so you can have more options of exercises. Good job Coop. I have one of these its an amazing step up of hanging cables off your power cage. One thing that would be good is if there was a way to do a push exercise with both handles and not have the cables dig into your body.

This is great product. The one downside I have to bring up is the plastic handles. I was doing low rows at 110lbs and during my set the rope of the handle ripped through the plastic part.
