I am lucky to own a Bud doll and his box he is my favorite!

Thanks so much guys! That was wonderful! I love Tammy and have mine from my childhood. I also recently found a Tammy clone at the thrift store for $1. She really cleaned up cute and they look sweet together. Ps the clone is a little shorter and her eyes look in the other direction. I can send you a photo if you are on instagram.

The striped shirt situation is just how the patterns happened to be laid on the fabric; factory cutting often was done by machine on a stack of several layers of the fabric at once, and the stripes would fall where they may.

Amazing collection!!! I would be very entertained by a Mad Men style drama of doll designers of that era discussing what the dolls should look like and what their imaginary lives would be like. The discussion around the Bud family secret foot-binding cult would be particularly interesting. And all the illustrations on the packaging look like the dolls smoke cigarettes. I had the Tammy car. It won't all the races against all the other dolls' shoebox cars with drawn-on wheels. Was there any connection between the Tammy dolls and the Tammy movies? ("Tammy and the Doctor", "Tammy Tell Me True") I love you guys and all the fun you have. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

I really enjoyed your presentation. You guys do your homework! I am grateful for it. I did not know about Bud nor the second issue of Tammy. I am an avid collector and the nearest and dearest to my heart is Little Miss Revlon, also made by Ideal. I have found it interesting how versatile Ideal was as a toy manufacturer and how quick on the uptake on the trends. To think they made Little Miss Revlon, Mitzi -- who you covered so nicely on you presentation about clones -- and Tammy all within short periods of time amazes me. However, it comes as no surprise that Ideal could adapt so well to demand. They saw a market for a less sexy Barbie and they responded almost immediately. Likewise, Ideal had about 40 years experience (1907) on Mattel (1945). I guess they knew the ropes by then. Again, thank you for a wonderful presentation.

Nice to see another video from you chaps. We were convinced we had a Bud but it looks like we just have Tammy's dad, they do look alike, mmm, I don't know what that means. Love the car too.
