karoslif; I've often wondered if David when he penned this Psalm, ever had a thought of the impact this Psalm would have on people for hundreds, thousands of years to come. Perhaps not but, I do believe that this and the other Psalms that David penned were done so by the inspiration of God himself. God knew that a people would need in the Centuries to come, would have need of these comforting words. Thank you Lord God Almighty. For I for one , have found much comfort and solace in reading and listening to this all time great Psalm.

This sounds very beautiful, but the Temple/Tabernacle choir of David must have been glorious beyond imagination

Imagine praising God and then 3000yrs later, your prayer becomes a beautiful song like this one. I've been playing this song on loop. This is wonderful.

Most of the songs of Brooklyn Tabernacle are filled with the Word of God. Not much like Christian songs today whose focus is on human emotions rather than the glory of God, who should be the central theme of our praise. And the Bible says the word of God is “living and active”, making the songs very powerful. I am part of a choir in the Philippines and our church find their songs bringing us to the very presence of God.

That's what we called "Songs sung directly to God" which is the first category and the top most priority song selection that we should be composing and singing.

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir has been such an inspiration to me for many years. Their ministry is so anointed...the Holy Spirit uses their music to pierce thru our thick skins, remove the garbage brought thru sin, and reveals to us the awesome love of God! I especially love Psalms 23 and Psalms 34...thank you, Father, for your Word!! "Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life!"

Yes to praise Him in song with His own words brings us into His presence which is our ultimate hope & goal. How dark the world is now! How much we have been through of late!! We find ourselves striving to find this JOY again. But we seek with all our hearts and are distracted & attacked for it; Yet HE remains faithful and leads us to this communion we crave in many ways, for our will is His will when He sends that light that shows us the great divide between the two kingdoms that will battle until that day when we see His face and HE will be All in All. Yahweh. I Am. 💗

This song was on a mixed CD that I received back in March of 2018 and I always skip this song because the one that I really love is after this song, but the other day over a year later I let the song play and I can't stop listening to it. I get a strange peace and calmness listening to it

I had the blessing of attending the Brooklyn Tabernacle in January 2018. This was sung the day I was there. The presence of our Lord is surely evident during the services. The congregation is lovely, and the message inspiring. I would highly recommend attending if you are in the area. Oh, that more churches would have this type of praise music.
