7:09 Talking financial there. Really hope Dorking can stay up. Too risky relying on FA Cup for revenue to get out of a hole. And seen too many horror stories from clubs in a similar situation to Dorking over the years, who have gone up and gone down inside 2 seasons. But the National League is almost if not just as hard as League 2. A team like Bromley would probably finish mid-table in L2 this season. Which is why it’s such a big gulf for teams coming up to National League from N/S that are new to that level. Shows what a massive achievement last season was, mission stay up and then next season will be a big year for decisions about the club going forward and competing in the top half where it’s all up for grabs. No chance of finishing 2nd next season but that’s great because you don’t have to budget to finish top, budget to finish mid table if you can and that can be enough to take you to the EFL by accident. Got to love the play-off & auto structure for that. And the teams that do make it to the EFL have all faired pretty well when they get there. Even with FGR & Sutton likely going down, both have done well staying in the EFL and eventually a team that started life in the EFL had to go down now there are so many in the EFL.

Very unlucky to lose this game. I was pleased though.
