Baldur. Heimdall. Thor. All of them were nothing but tools for odin to use. All they ever wanted was what any son wants from their father: to be loved by them. There appoval. But odin used that desire against them and turned them into these miserable unhappy gods. They may have unlikable features. Baldur may be a psycho, heimdall may be a bully and thor may be a drunk. But the one to blame for all of it is none other than odin himself (even if freya may have played a part in baldur's madness). They may have been evil gods, but in truth, they all need is just a hug.
