My friend Emily and I watched it together and I was far more into Anthony while she was way more into the Duke. I mean the Duke was attractive but I am far more interested in Anthony. Jonathan Bailey is so hot, and charming. Can’t wait for season 2

Better season than season 1 and it is because Anthony and Kate did an amazing job. Jonathan Bailey showed his experience as an excellent actor and really took control of the entire season.

I just finished reading the books and my goodness. I can NOT wait for Kate and Anthony’s story! Also loved the changes the writers made for the TV adaptation because some of the details simply wouldn’t have crossed over on screen.

I *love* watching and hearing golda rosheuvel talk. I adore her elegance and calmness. Truly fit for a queen 👸

That velvety deep voice of Jonathan..uff ❤❤❤. I can listen to it forever.

I felt so much for Marina. Crying realizes the man she loved truly loved her too :(

I wish they’d at least acknowledge that what Daphne did to Simon was sexual assault, instead of glossing over it. This was one of the major reasons why people were furious about the first book - in the book, Simon was drunk and not in a position to give his consent. Instead of rewriting that scene completely while making the show, the writers butchered it up by making it a case of dubious consent, instead of it being a clear case of non-consent. I wish Netflix/Shondaland would at least acknowledge that what Daphne did was NOT OKAY when they do recaps like this one.

What are you complaining about these are FICTIONAL characters! The show is not for children. The whole point of casting this black boy to play a white character is sell sex. The show is sex on a stick. The black boy was sexualized in this series. That is the only reason how some people put with the cringe. That wasnt assault, assuming the boy was already courting the princess.

So you wanted Netflix to leave it as sexual assault instead of changing it lightly so that there wouldn't be any problems with it? I've watched many series based on books and I've learned to separate them, even if the movie/serie is very loyal to the book, if it didn't happen in the series, it didn't happen at all.

8:33-8:47 I still can't stop laughing at this part, especially the ending and that face expression. Spoken by someone who has given up on love but can't seem to help but still get hit by those fluttering feelings, 'remove love from the equation' is really hard to do entirely 😅

The actress playing the Queen role is actually a Queen 👸 🙌,God, her acting is so good.

The audacity of you not to mention it yet again, in this comment! For those curious, Daphnie was never told about the bird's and the bees. When she found out that a man is to ejeculate inside a woman (the Duke would finish literally anywhere and everywhere else, lol) she was told by a maid to get on top and ride him so he'd lose control and couldn't pull out.

I must admit I loved this show. In fact, I have watched Bridgerton at least 25 to 30 times. Seriously. Each time I noticed things that don't jump off the screen, but are vital to the story. And I have read almost all of the books in the series that follows each siblings quest for love. Season 2 will be just as entertaining I'm sure.
