It seems that John Hughes was going to make a movie two years after The Breakfast Club called Oil and Vinegar. The plot had a salesman (played by Matthew Broderick) travelling cross country to his wedding and he picks up a New Wave Rock’n Roll hitchhiker (played by Molly Ringwald) who is his polar opposite. The rest of the plot would have had the two discuss their lives to one another in the car and later in a motel room as they talked about entering into adulthood. It sounds like the premise would have been a conservative guy who seemed to ‘have his life mapped together’ and planned clashing with a girl who ‘lived in the moment’ and was uncertain about her future (in an intentional way). Although it apparently was John Hughes’ favourite script that he penned and others who have read the script had said it was brilliant, the movie never got made because the would-be Director no longer wanted to do it as he was very busy at the time. Plus the studio wanted John Hughes to do rewrites and Molly and Matthew eventually ran into scheduling conflicts. It will always be one of those films that I wish could have been made because it sounds like it could have been another John Hughes classic and could have had a captivating slightly somber tone. I could seriously talk more about it but I’ll stop before the comment gets too long lol

The people who are remembered the most are Wesley Snipes,Ice T,Chris Rock,Bill Nunn and Allen Payne. Only real ones who are in the Know of everyone who was in this movie. He played well against Wesley Snipes and Ice T ,he was good in this and his performance was so underrated.
