Fantastic video Andy! I was lucky enough to be at a Brandenburg derby last season (shorts and t-shirt weather for me when I went) a fantastic fixture and one Babelsberg seem to seriously struggle in. Cottbus were the deserved winners in the end but Babelsberg were so toothless up front if they take their chances then they would have gotten something.

I'm sure I heard the PA talking about them playing Lok next week before wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. You're 100% guaranteed Babelsberg's muggy little North Face teenyboppers will be giving it the big'un whilst 100% safe to do so once more. I might be English but I have a lot of love for all the proper traditional Ossi clubs so I'm very glad Cottbus won yesterday and hope Lok do the same next week 🇩🇪 🤝 🇬🇧

@@Thisisfootballeuropa absolutely mate, I suppose BFC Dynamo are the biggest fallen giant and though they probably still hate each other it is good to see Union flying the flag for East Berlin in the top flight. Dresden have massive support, as do Rostock and Magdeburg can’t be far behind. You look at that Red Bull abortion in Leipzig and it really grates ya because anyone with even the most basic knowledge of German football knows there’s only Lok and Chemie on that manor! It’s proper good to see a fellow Brit with such a keen interest in the German football scene that has the proper support, fair play to you geezer 👊🏻

@@Thisisfootballeuropa I know the group behind the goals and filmstadt inferno don't get on very well I think it is because Babelsberg have a very diverse range of views in the support base so things in the active scene can be a bit fractured

Mainly there are 2 Groups. One of them is the "Filmstadtinferno", who are the biggest group and far left wing. And the other smaller group is the so called "Underdogs". I dont know all reasons why they are seperated but one of the reasons is the different political view they have

@@Thisisfootballeuropa there was some differences between the different groups. the one in the nordkurve are more political and the ones in the ostblock (the section with the roof) are more unpolitical

Most stadiums tend to be n the middle of towns or villages yeah! Has to be said tho, anything below 4th league here, facilities and stadiums/grounds don’t compare to uk. Honestly the uk has by far the beat set up & football pyramid on earth

@@Thisisfootballeuropa lower leagues below 4th in the east are probably MUCH much worse than in the west from an infrastructure point of virw The gdr only build up relatively big regional powers. In the west there are 5th, 6th and 7th division clubs with huge stands and good infrastructure as well.

The relegation battle will be tasty come the new year mate.

Dynamo Berlin should of gone up. Cud win this herein league by a thousand miles yet (somehow) not get promoted. Bloody mindboggling. Sadists league.
