Im Chinese, and I can confidently tell you that these shows are all fake, there were many instances where it has been proved to be fake. It's all for money, if it was real, why are they not acknowledged internationally? just some paid actors.

These kids have mastered the use of the abacus. Some kids could be seen moving their hands as if there was an abacus in front of them. The abacus is still being taught in China and Japan. It is a shame that American clerks do not know to count change back to a customer. Instead they rely on the cash register to tell them how much change to give back to the customer. When I was a child, I worked at my parents' grocery store and always counted change back to the customer, and those were the days before computers changed everything. American kids are not inherently poor in math. Introduce them to the abacus and they will see how easy it is to add and subtract numbers. Additionally, the abacus can be used for multiplication and division.

These Chinese kids are very young but really genius in numbers. No wonder China advances very fast in every field.

Their calculations are based on using an abacus mentally. This simple device is still taught in China and Japan. When will America learn to teach their students so that they won't be afraid of math anymore?

It's great to see these shows with English subtitles - thank you. The Chinese do these programs better than anyone else - they are well produced and well conceived.

That kid : gets 3 numbers wrong outta that amount of number *cries* Me : *can't even calculate 48x3 in my head* "iT iS nOT tHaT bAd"

It's pretty easy 48x3 40+40+40 = 120 8+8+8 = 24 120+24 = 144 All you gotta do is stop overthinking and just break down long numbers into smaller, simple numbers, that's what that these kids do basically

No, he wote 3527,422. It was a huge comma, not a 1. Even if it was a 1, he'd have an extra digit at the end.
