These losses in most cases cause an existential crisis. My suffered a psychotic break when i was nine, and no one was there for me to help me process and understand it. Without that and not able to grieve properly it became a death by 1000 paper cuts,as Boss describes it😢

This type of grief isn't discussed often. There is no closure

So grateful yall are talking about this. I lost two grandchildren to estrangement. And i still talk to their dad, my son, many times a week. We just act like it never happened. Its eating me alive. They live around 6 miles from me and its been 3 years this month.

Almost 3 years since I lost my son, 3 teenage grandchildren for what was meant as a compliment to his wife. We live in the same small town, so I see them often and they turn their backs, even run away from us and our other adult children and grandchildren. It’s heartbreaking that we have lost them and they have lost all of our family
