Like their conversations almost always being alone, the one hallucinating not actually being handed anything by the hallucination, or the weird looks from third parties that are actually seeing him talk to himself. I genuinely envy those who don't see those details because so many twists are spoiled once you notice the path they always follow.

It's done purposely. It's his violent side remembering him that it exists inside of him. Ryan's existence made Butcher search for something more in life than just hatred, it woked hopes inside of him. That's why he's so conflicted

The fact that Butcher didn't even remember correctly that he left the real Joe Kessler to die, means the V tumor in his head has manipulated his memory as well. During previous episodes, the way they talked about their history and kids stuff that never happened, felt so real to him.

Really love this scene. It's a great character reveal and dramatic intense situation.

This is really a Mason-Reznov hallucination moment.

So when Kessler said he killed Ezekiel meaning Butcher won’t be in control of his actions while he’s on his Green Goblin split personality shit

I like how that both of them or most likely the tumor taking to him

I feel like part of what keeps me from liking Butcher and even the main plot around stopping Homelander as much, is Butcher's half-measures. Him not committing to doing something fully despite saying he is and despite how far he's come on that path. He ruined his chances to kill Homelander when he attacked Soldier Boy (because he pushed over Ryan after Ryan shot lasers at him, I guess?), presumably because he cares for Ryan more than he cares about killing Homelander in that moment. Then he shows almost no interest in reconnecting with Ryan, apologizing to him, or trying to help him understand. And now here he's now like 'welp, guess using the virus that'll kill every supe including Ryan, Starlight, Hugie, and other innocents isn't such a bad idea now huh?' What was the point of betraying Soldier Boy then? So many more people, including Ryan, are going to die now.

I guess it's just me, but I had no idea The Comedian John Winchester was a hallucination. In hindsight, I guess it was kinda obvious with none of the other main cast being in the room with him and Butcher, but I don't care: The twist reveal hit perfectly!

I legit did not realize Kessler was a hallucination until theh revealed it. Looking back on the previous episodes they did a good job not ahowing reactions from any 3rd parties but what should've tipped me to him not being real was how he knew so much about The Boys despite never meeting any if them.

Start of episode, Hughie : I'm Fine Ashley and TekNight : Hold our handcuffs.. End of Episode, Hughie: I'm not fine😭😭😭😭

That was pretty obvious that Negan isn't real. This reminds me of A Beautiful Mind and Call of Duty Black Ops - they all 3 have one thing in common; The main character has a hallucination where he sees a person who actually isn't real.

Man, when I first watched this episode I thought the tek-knight and ashley scene were just ridiculous and stupid either way Hughie sitting on cake and having his feet tickled but, when you get to this part, it’s obvious that it wasn’t meant to be seen as a funny gag or something. Hughie was r*ped, humiliated and almost killed days after his father died

This scene highlights what I said in previous episode.Jack Quaid cannot emote true sadness and despair from losing a love one. All actors have weaknesses and this is unfortunately his own. This is why they had to cut his scene short when his dad died and have his character hug his mom to cover his face.
