The Bournemouth Belle with D9002 'King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry' - June 19th 2024

The first public run of Railway Timelines Limited's new set of Mk1 MetroCammell Pullman stock was the 1Z55 06:30 Peterborough - Bournemouth 'The Bournemouth Belle' railtour on June 19th 2024, hauled both ways by Class 55 No. D9002 'King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry' from the Churnet Valley Railway and National Railway Museum, with Class 50 No. 50017 'Royal Oak' as the supporting act.
Our first view is not long into the Deltic's journey, heading south along the East Coast Main Line at speed. Next was departing the final pickup stop at Finsbury Park Station, the former home of much of the class. Moving onto the Southern region, D9002 coasts through West Byfleet having joined the South West Main Line at Byfleet and New Haw, approaching Woking. After a run down the Portsmouth Direct, the engine gathers speed through Cosham heading towards Southampton. The rest of the shots are on the Southampton - Bournemouth line, first passing Foxhills Crossing and Brockenhurst Station at speed, and finally climbing Christchurch Bank towards Pokesdown Station at full Napier voice.
