Sea2sea Scuba out on another amazing trip on the Bottom Scratcher out of San Pedro (Long Beach). The outstanding crew once again has made another memorable charter and trip to Catalina island a success.
The Bottom Scratcher was originally built in 1968 for a team of free divers known as the Bottom Scratchers, thus the name for the vessel. It was converted into a scuba dive vessel and moved to the Long Beach area. Captain Kevin purchased the vessel about 4.5 years ago and has remodeled, re wired and added tons of safety features to the vessel to make it a great live aboard charter boat. The boat and crew also do a lot of the channel swims supporting swimmers for races etc.
We are proud to say we have developed a great relationship with the vessel’s crew and charter trips 3-4 a year now. Come out and experience a true EPIC DIVE CHARTER, onboard the Bottom Scratcher with Sea2sea Scuba.

I was the cook on this boat for a season in the 1980's. Wow! Thanks for the memories! Best days of my life.
We took our youth from church on a dive trip . We rented the bottom scratcher . LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT. Great boat and crew

Judi we are stoked to have you both out with us on the trip! We will be putting together a meeting in the near future to get everyone prepped and set for the trip.
I love those guys!! Spent MANY MANY hours on (and in) the water with Kevin and Edwardo.

Oh Man I wish! I live in Show Low now. I just spoke with Kevin earlier today, but haven't seen him in years.
Fellas bruhs find the picture kids from. Pittsburgh have great photo to be remembered by...bottom scratcher #5 of 79...
The doghouse only had 4 beds when we used it

Kevin actually just remodeled the doghouse and it’s back to 4 bunks again. He is constantly working on improving the vessel.

Wondering where the drone was launched and landed. I'm not a fan of hand launching and catching ;) We will be aboard for a channel swim crossing, so the bow I assume is not available as a launch/landing pad.

The back of the boat above the rear bunks has a large flat area to launch and retrieve.
