When we sin, the punishment start from within our body first. Then, the sun will reveal outer world. The cycle continues till we repent and stop sinning. It have been thousands of years and we have not waken up from the Sins, and all suffering just kept going. War, famine, plague, is a continuation happening due to our own sin.
