BBC radio produced a lavish adaptation of Philip Pullman's His Dark Materials back in 2003 - but as that's still commercially available I won't be uploading that to youtube. However, this compelling (though abridged) reading of Pullman's prequel to that epic is less likely to cause trouble. For those who saw the television series, this will be a nice return to a familiar world - and for those yet to discover Pullman's universe, this is likely to be a great introduction...
