Hey everyone! After further research of the tang, I have decided to send this back to the manufacturer. I believe this is a good knife but it would have be a light duty tracker knife. That’s just my thoughts. My first impression on this was blown away and I love the design but I have been hearing stories of this breaking. Therefore it’s not quite what I’m looking for. I think they should increase the tang and raise the price.

I forgot to add, can you do an update on the various tracker knives as you use and test them? I would like to see how they hold up and see which ones are worth the money you pay for them and which ones are not. Many thanks in advanced.

Thanks for all your great reviews. I’m glad to see this one- I got the largerr version last week and really like it. Like you said in other videos- these tracker style knives can be very good defense knives too. The thick spine and weight forward blade makes for a real weapon- like a smaller kurki.

@@411Outdoors yea you gotta be carefull. Some knives have welded tangs. And if your wacking it with a stick for a hammer you gotta do it directly over the thing your hitting; cos those tangs break. I don't think they temper the welds either. Are you a forged in fire fan? I like the demascus competitions. Specially balberrings in canister. Or chain oooooo chains great. But i find they forget to layer them properly so you get two grades of steel all jumbled up and they just look yuk

I use for light duty matters since 1 year, the only issue is the coating that make the sharpening tricky.. therefore I ve removed all coating close to the edge, for heavy activity just play a small hatchet.

I have one. I bought one for like 50$ a year ago. I was pump as I love trucker design. My thoughts... the skeleton handle is a failure. It is not a kitchen/ligh duty knife by purpose. Its a camp knife but there is no way to batton it with out fear. I bought it before I saw test videos on yt and all my love was gone. I was in shock when I realised that few weeks later the price double! The funny thing is that full tang is easier and cheaper to manufacture. One cut less for Boker and customers will be happy. Well but they do not listen

@@411Outdoors when i saw your wee knife shaped sorta like a spoon. I went ooooooooo!!! Shiny my precious. I admired dads since i was a child hes kept it in the box till i was 35. Gave it to me; razor sharp. But atmitedly knives dont really come sharp. I grind a clearance angle and a tiny cutting angle. Hollow grinding isnt realy anything to do with sharpness it just saves you a whole lotta time grinding that awefull clearance angle. Basicly same as chisels. Now ive finally got a linisher i can make my own slingshot knives. Basicly it looks like a pocket knife with two sissor handle loops built into the handle. Flick a button and they pop out like a butterfly knife. Unfortunately i cant make a switchblade knive in the handle cos thyr illegal. Dunno why? Yet slingshots arent??
