Craig you have to take the prop to a professional prop shop. You will never be able to make it balanced to where it doesn't vibrate and damage the lower unit.

You made the correct decision for the family. I stepped over to the dark side and sold my beloved lake use Grady White for a tritoon a couple years ago. There's no street cred with a tritoon vs the Grady but boy does it serve its intended purpose of hauling a bunch of folks on the water in comfort. With the 250 engine, it will out tow, out ski and move at over 45 mph, much faster than the Grady did. I do miss the Grady but everybody else loves the toon.

Bad ass Boat Craig! I bought the same boat in white from Steve in 2019. Sold it at the peak in 2021 for a 10k profit! You will love that boat. Enjoy!

When you're out on the sandbar that's what you do. It also looks like they're on the edge of the sandbar so I imagine they're not in 2' of water where they were. And it's his kids and if he chooses to not live scared and let the kids be kids, then kudos to him.

Love the videos and boat life is great! Cross the chains from the trailer to the truck. Keeps the trailer tongue from catching the road if it comes off the ball.

I have a Bennington with the same layout triple tube and 200 motor.. I love that dual captain chair layout with the quad loungers.. Its so much better than the ones with the big lounge on the back corner.. I live on a lake so it gets used several times a week thru boating season in Indiana.. If you have family, and or just like to have friends on a boat, triple tube pontoons are the best way to go for modern boats.. Much more versatile and able to do about anything a runabout will do and have tons of room..

I am more of a boat fan than a car fan so keep the boat video comings. IMO: I prefer water people over land people. I saw a nice looking Bass boat in the background that is better looking than any Ferrari.

Nice pontoon boat. I don’t envy maneuver ing that at the ramp. I use to kayak out to the haulover sandbar with my dog and friends on the weekend. It’s great having a boat for family time on the water.

This best thing about owning a surf board, and body board to use all year here in Queensland is there isn't any depreciation. Have fun on your new boat Craig, it's very cool !

I debated a pontoon, as my wife wants room for more people. I do not. Our kids are adults, live in Illinois, we moved to Florida. I opted for a bay boat, seats 6, and can wash off fish guts and not worry about things. But... I've seen some SERIOUS tritoons in swfl, with twin mercury 450s that just skip across the water. Nice boat Craig. 👍🏼

Craig the two greatest time to own a boat is when you buy the boat and when you sell the boat in between is a goddamn headache

You made the right decision for the age of your family. You may only keep it for a yr and decide on something else. I grew up on a lake in Maine and will never forget those memories on the water. Great job Craig!

Don't be cheap and put the boat in a slip. I have been around Weirs Beach and Paugus Bay just this year and you must be able to find a slip. Then you only need to use the trailer twice a year. Nice boat.

My dad always said a few things sbout boats. 1. A boat is a hole in the water to throw money into. 2. The two happiest days of a boat owner is the day they buy it and the day they sell it.

It’d be nice if the Subaru owner actually used a effing parking spot.

Ever consider a trailer dolly for the parking lot. Unhook, move the truck down the line, use dolly through the tight space and re hook in front of launch.

Pontoon Boats are so much more fun!

Whoever designed that boat launch setup should be fired!

If you like boating with friends and family, it's never about the money, but good thing you pay attention to it and "try" to keep it reasonable. For me? I'd have thrown the $113k into a lake property, NOT Winnipesaukee. Course it's not a good time to finance anything with rates where they are. Still, it's a great boat and you obviously enjoy being on the water. Why not Winnipesaukee? Too busy man. Not many quiet hideaway coves left. I like a lake you can swim across....so less than 1/2 mi. And by swim, I mean float too...haha. Kayak, tube, floaty, etc.

$113k would be less than 10% of the down payment for any real waterfront house in that area. Unfortunately most all the lakes in that area are beyond overcrowded. Some people like the "scene". Being that close to Boston brings a ton of people to the area.

@@jacknimble1 Agreed. But there are some lakes...and I'm not sharing...haha. that have waterfront homes for not millions. Just gotta know where/who. And don't get me wrong, I LOVE Lake Winnipesaukee and the area!! Just nothing more than a day trip for me to enjoy it. And if you have your own quiet lake...well there you go.

Most bad boat stories involve older boats. You'll have a great time and if you don't you bought it right !

That’s not entirely accurate. A couple of my friends have made their largest economic losses on new boats and now it even worse since the boat market is going downhill…

Use Malco upholstery cleaner on the seats, best I ever used. A Nautique dealer put me on it. (Silly side note, your the first person I ever turned on notifications on KZread)

Boats are allot of work. My family owned a 30 ft sailboat. It seemed like we worked on it more that we used it.

Sorry to pass along some bad news but, a 2022, like new, Godfrey Monaco with 23 hours on a 175 HP Yamaha engine is for sale right now at Meredith Marina, in NH, for $69,000. The boat comes with a prepaid 3 year extended warranty.

The two best days of owning a boat is the day you buy it and the day you sell it and my opinion about investment is the dumbest investment. Anybody could do it is a sink that just soaks up your money it’s just like taking your money and shoving it down the drain or burning it…Poor decisions get you poor returns

Not always. I tripled my money buying my Grady white boat in 2009 and selling it in 2019. You have to do your homework. Craig did not do a proper marine survey on his old boat and purchased a turd.

A little story.I went to my older cousin who was a banker I asked him to finance a boat for me and he said sure but just remember that a boat was just a hole in the water that you pore money into he was right but we enjoyed spending our money and never regretted buying one
