Ойын-сауық

On Saturday 30th March, the River Thames will come alive from Putney Bridge to Mortlake in SW London for one of the most famous annual river races since 1829, the Boat Race.
This beloved amateur sporting event is steeped in British history and showcases 7 months of relentless training by the Cambridge University and Oxford University men’s and women’s student rowers.
This Saturday all four teams will take on the famous 4.25 mile route with Cambridge University defending their 6 year winning streak in the women's race and last year's win for the men's team.
The event is regularly attended by over 250,000 people on the banks of the river but is also broadcast live both within the UK and worldwide
I caught up with the President of the Men's Cambridge Blue Boat to find out what it takes to be a student president of such a prestigious team and how the athletes have been preparing for this years race.
