The Blue Surges - Experimentation Gone Right
Музыка
A new heat treatment method to obtain a uniform blue finish using a temperature guideline suggested by @TruthIsTheNewH8 as well as a new grind profile on the reed.
I had to keep the first one for myself, but sorry folks. The other one was snatched up by @obatzda Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your new harp!

Absolutely loving how deeply you've gotten into this and how much attention you're paying to all the fine details. So stoked to buy!

That icy blue is really cool. I don't understand how you get such clean bends in the frames without a jig. Also I've been able to get some nice gold tones with the oxidizing. Might be cool to try and get a half blue and half gold ( length wise) frame. It's really hard to get the color to show on camera. For anyone watching just know the color is way nicer in person, especially in the sun. They both look and sound awesome. Nicely done man! I can't wait for my Flux to come in the mail.
I love jaw harping. Probably have 130 of them.

Wow! Yeah, I started making them because I can’t buy them fast enough. Do you have a favourite maker?

@@BoxcarBetts I love morchang from Mohan and Bhagvana. I had many custom one of a kind made from Alex Trance in Russia. I have some from Yakuts indigenous people in Russia. Seen Jamie Bebb unboxing your harp and posted your link. Canada maker he said. I'm in Ottawa.

@@patpearson8962 Nice. My one and only morchang is from Rekha and I really like it. I don’t have any khomus, but I have a Glazyrin vargan, which was actually the harp that got me into actual harps last year. I’m just a right off the 416 onto the 401, down a lil’ ways past TO and in Cambridge! I work now in then in Ottawa and have a cousin that lives there. It’s my favourite city.
very cool

Yeah, I’m excited for how this line has been coming out.
Im an ol boy who has quite a few hours behind a jaw harp. How much do you sell these puppies for? Might need my nephew to help me out with computer stuff.

The larger Flux and Surge I’m selling starting at $65 CAD, which is about $48 USD. The Spike series are going for $30 for the 1/8” version and $40 for the 5/32”. Here is a link to my Etsy store. boxcarharpcompany.etsy.com It’s not showing all 4 listings right bow because 2 are shown as sold out until I get more materials. But I will still be taking orders, I just might not be able to promise the lead times Etsy says. So your best bet is to reach out first before clicking anything so we can discuss your harp before any $$$ gets moved.

@@BoxcarBetts Roger Doger. I'd definitely like the larger option. I've got $65 and shipping set aside right now. Are you in the US?

@@whiskeymonk4085 I’m located not too far from Toronto. Shipping is super reasonable. Not sure exactly what it is because Etsy calculates it for me, but I believe it’s less than $10.
