There's a reason why Blue Skirt Waltz is one of the better polkas out there, and good vocals prove it. Great job with this!

Beautiful rendition of the Blue Skirt Waltz. This was one of my parents' favorites. I can close my eyes and still see them dancing to this song on many a dance floor. Thanks for the fond memory ...

Another favorite of my Father when I was a child and all 7 of us kids not only learned to dance the waltz but could sing the words to this song, this was before the days of cd,mp3 etc. I recall a book of songs -handwritten- that we kids had in the backseat and when we went anywhere we sang the songs from that book.Wish I had the book today.

Robert was probably referring to the genre of music which is described-with/named many different terms (from Alpine to Slovenian to Oberkrein to Cleveland-Style and polka music) - but as far as I know, only in Slovenian language is called by the name "narodno-zabavna glasba" (literal translation: folk-entertaining music) that pretty sufficiently describes the style - and includes both, polkas and waltzes.
